At 45, as a combat veteran, I hit what felt like the lowest point in my life. Overcome with sorrow, I prayed one night, giving it all to God. In that moment, I felt His comforting presence, whispering, "It's okay to fall apart, I’ve got you." Just three weeks later, my life began to change through the incredible kindness of Michael Jtone Leshkevich. His generosity led me to an amazing business opportunity that transformed my life. Now, I find real peace in using my finances to serve God. God’s promises are true-never give up. This journey with Michael has been nothing short of a miracle..

I went 40 years as a "Christian" without ever reading the Bible for myself. A year ago I was convicted to read it for myself and my life has changed so much. The biggest thing that God has done for me is take away my anxiety and depression. I used to have to take medication to leave my house for longer than an hour, now I no longer need medication and I am excited to travel and go places and I have peace every day. It is so important and literally life giving to read the word for yourself. I started with the New Testament and then read the Old Testament and am doing so again right now. I get something new out of it every day and God is faithful to reveal himself through his word.

I love your testimony, mine is very similar - I lived almost 40 years thinking I was a Christian too... 5 years ago, I started hearing scripture from the bible that contradicted what I had learned as a child... so I started reading the bible - it has been eye opening. The holy spirit has now changed me completely inside and out!!! I have been healed of 20 years of unbearable migraines and neck and back pain, completely delivered of anxiety and depression and now I work for a non-profit helping people. God is so good! Praise the Lord!

Wow!! To go 40 years Christian before you read the Bible. I came to Christ in 2021 I am reading through the Bible for the third time, this time I am journaling through it as I read through it. So it will take me twice as long. I too get something new from it daily! So much to learn and I plan to continue to read it over and over and over again for the rest of my life! 🩵

@ronnie-lynn no no, he/she said "christian" which means false convert, someone who "believed in God" but didn't have a revelation of the truth so continued to walk in darkness... their is a huge difference. I thought I was a christian all my life, when I found the truth I realised I'd been deceived all along...

God spoke to me to read Jude 3 yrs ago. I read this over and over. I understood the message, but not sure how to recognize those the scripture was describing. Shortly after my heart went to studying the fruits of the spirit. I wasn’t sure why my focus was so strong in this area, but I see how it has helped me to see the fruits of Christians. It has also helped me to seek the Holy Spirit to correct things in my own life that wasn’t bearing good fruit. Psalms 139;23 David ask God to search him. Thank you both for teaching on this subject. Relevant for our time.

As someone who was married for over 25 years, and had my “Christian” husband leave me for a “Christian” woman, I think honoring the vows you made and upholding the covenant of marriage, is certainly one way Christians can show their authenticity, love and obedience to Yashua, as well as modeling what a Christ centered marriage should be.

@@Donnah1979no judgement, just saying I think one big reason inappropriate relationships occur among Christians is that a lot of Christians have a worldly view, instead of a Biblical view, of marriage. When life gets tough they think it means they need a new partner. If church would teach what marriage actually is how many of those occurrences could be prevented? I would never judge what the wronged party chose to do about being wronged. I just think there’s a lot of ignorance among Christians about marriage.
@shylafoxwilliamson5264

By their fruits we will know them. People who do things like that then parade the relationship like it was God led astound me. Christian means Christ following. No man or woman follows Christ into infidelity. Even if the church pats them on the back and gives approval. God is never in that. It’s sad that churches don’t support strengthening marriages within their church as much as they do other things, when marriage is the only relationship besides salvation that is a God ordained covenant relationship.

@@shylafoxwilliamson5264 When two imperfect humans come together, there will be conflict (natural). The husband does not care about the wife. What is the husband’s response? What is the wife’s response? What is the solution? Is psychology the solution? We can add more problems to the family: strife, jealousy, drunkenness, evil entertainments, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, lies, slander, debauchery, impurity, lust, evil desires, greed, wickedness, sensuality, pride, and foolishness. When two people get together, soon or later they will have conflict. How will they handle the conflict? People are selfish. People are evil. Divorce is an option. Evil character will come out of a person during time of financial or relationship stress. Society has no rule on how a married woman should behave. Society has no moral standard. Christians cannot talk about morality. To talk about morality is to judge. Not to judge others is a virtue. Immoral people may deny that rules exist. Psychologists should know that rules exist. A woman or a man can behave anyway that they want because the behavior is not against the law. But the behavior is against the moral law. The offended person has to take the law into his own hand. When the offended person takes the law into his own hand, he violates the criminal law.

You were scaring me there for a minute John. I thought you were going to say that people who sin, like that man did, aren't saved. But, you nailed it, it's not that he sinned, it's that he thinks it's okay. The Lord revealed to me how I can feel clean, because I'm abiding in him and being free from sin because of that. Then I sinned again. He asked me "Do you prefer to remain clean, or be unclean?". And I was like "Oh, the clean is sooooo much better.". And this is the essence of a fake sinner, as opposed to a fake Christian. A fake sinner HATES His sin, and does not accept it, in that he/she fights against it. His heart is regenerated, though his flesh may win from time to time. But it will always be a fight for righteousness.

Ask and you will receive. Ask according to His will. It is His will that you know him (John 17:3). It is His will that you love Him (Psalm 42:1-2). Here's the secret of prayer - Revelation 3:20, Colossians 3:2, 1 Corinthians 2:9. Ask Him to teach you. Read all of those 12 Scriptures daily. Pray a lot in the Holy Spirit. The grace of God to empower us is bringing us into bondage? WOW, can't get more deceived than that! We must preach the Full Gospel. If we sin, we are covered by the blood, but now go and sin no more by the grace of God! In the early 2000s, I woke up one morning and heard the words clear as day "Only a fifth part shall understand". The Lord revealed to me that just as Joseph saved a fifth of the fruit, so will a fifth of those who "believe" be with Him in the end. The vast majority of Christians will turn away from the faith. Among other things, it is doctrines like this "God's empowering grace is bondage", that will lead them astray.

I strongly believe that you can't be free from any sin without His grace. The smallest of sins, to the biggest of sins, are part of our sin nature. You cannot overcome it without the divine influence upon the heart (grace). And, if you try, you will twist it into something that looks good but is not, thereby deceiving your own self into thinking you are righteous. e.g. Luke 18:10-14 (ESV) 10 “Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11 The Pharisee, standing by himself, prayed thus: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. 12 I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I get.’ 13 But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’ 14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified, rather than the other. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.” This pharisee trusted in his own efforts to be righteous, and ironically thanked God for his apparent righteousness that was achieved through his own efforts, yet was not justified.

I am still watching, but I just wanted to say that this is such an important discussion. I think it is important that us as Christians can have differences in ideas of things on Earth and maybe even things much higher such as eschatology interpretations, but what we cannot disagree on what God commands us and how we are supposed to live, including what the ONLY path to salvation is, which is surrendering our lives to Jesus and accepting Him as our Lord and Savior. I say this because I know there was a recent episode about the election that I did not entirely agree with, though I certainly understood the points John was making and do not fault any beliefs or decisions made based on those whatsoever. I certainly don't have the all the answers, but I am working to find them. But it is so true that there are divisions rising and I believe the enemy is hard at work here to make it as painful as possible (which is as told in the Bible). I pray we will all find the proper discernment and heed the correction we all need. Thank you for your work.

I’d love to see churches start educating people of all ages on the fact that marriage is designed to be a reflection of Christ and the church, instead of the world’s misguided idea that it’s merely a contract agreeing to keep each other happy. It is a COVENANT between husband and wife before God to do life TOGETHER! It’s not a contract, like a purchase, it’s a covenant, reflective of Christ’s covenant with us when He saves us.

If they got a divorce, they would lose their jobs. Church people frown on such a behavior. 1 Corinthians 10:13. No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. I can have temptation that is common to mankind. God will not allow me to be tempted beyond what I can bear. When I am tempted, God will provide a way out so that I can endure it. Yes to godly marriage! Pleasing God involves loving God and so couples must worship and pray together regularly at home. Living unselfish lives of love and respect for one another is also vital. So tired of seeing people marry primarily for the purpose of fulfilling selfish needs, and the inevitable conflicts and divisions that come from that premise. Problems in the Church, like lukewarm selfish marriages, are a reflection on the Church today and the evidence of its superficial, lukewarm, double-minded ways. The evidence is also in the teaching. It's also in what you see and hear Christians say and do. And you can see it in so-called Christian marriages. The standards keep dropping lower and lower. Have you noticed? Nobody wants to hold young people to account. They are your sons and daughters, but loving them will not disciple them or deliver them from sinful attitudes and behaviours. Where is the fear of the Lord???

I'll be watching this. But just from the title alone, i agree. I still believe in Jesus Christ and have been recently seeing his love for me. However, i have lived years of backsliding and sin because of a lot of bitterness, denial, and frustrations with not only myself but with others. I always think its my fault because at the end of the day, i made decisions. I walked away from churches and left people. I suffered a lot of consequences from my sins and still do. I've been trying to repent. No one is in my life who sees me and understands. The only person i can think of who does is Jesus. The church is a lie now in days. I don't see Jesus or actions associated in relation to the bible in the church. I see just as equal to the world in the church with little to no changes. Or people still struggling and fighting with sin and no victories or wins or real testimonies of what they've done with the salvation of God but only struggles just like mine. I've been learning it the hard way. I've been on my own. I can't trust that the church would fix me either. It's sad.

Doers of the word not just hearers. The two greatest commandments and the fruits of the spirit need to be seen in our walk. Not that we are perfect but we will be developing in the fruits of the Spirit. Christians do not see other believer's as their brother's and sister's in the body of Christ as they should. This can be seen throughout churches. Churches are more like worldly community centers. I cannot in most instances distinguish between the Christians I encounter and worldly people outside of it.

Unfortunately non-Christians don't, and can't really be expected to understand, that what often appears to be hypocrisy, is in fact people who attend church as cultural Christians, and are not true to the faith. Matthew 7 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ "I NEVER KNEW YOU" Not you knew me but left, not you didn't measure up, but NEVER knew you. The Church, in it's effort to extend the grace of and forgiveness of Christ, has mistaken forgiveness with acceptance of evil within it's congregation. It's almost as if Paul didn't write 1 Corinthians 5 guiding the church to both Judge, and remove those who practice evil while claiming to be Christian. 1 It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and such sexual immorality as is not even named among the Gentiles-that a man has his father’s wife! 2 And you are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he who has done this deed might be taken away from among you. ... 5 deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. The above said, they will hate us regardless. John 15:20 Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also.

@@ChadGrindstaff You don't need to know the name of the lifeguard who saves you from drowning when you call out. The bible from old testament to new, has always said, Deuteronomy 4: 29 But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul. Before Jesus came, all those saved did not know "how" the price was going to be paid, they only knew they needed God and his forgiveness. God loves us too much to let something as legalistic as not have someone else say the right things to us, to turn away from someone who truly seeks him. I firmly believe, if it takes a burning bush, a near death experience, or a vision straight from heaven as it did for Paul, every true seeker of God will find him. Everyone has and can hear that still small voice, and accept the payment made on the cross and salvation of God and grace, without knowing exactly how that salvation was paid for.

The Holy Spirit should convict them to do good works because the Holy Spirit is the spirit of God living within the person. Therefore, technically, it is works of the Holy Spirit and not works of ourselves. We know if we are doing good works according to the Holy Spirit because all the good works that we do will be aligned with the Bible since that is the word of God. If you have the Spirit of God living in you, then you will want to live a life pleasing to God. This is what they are trying to communicate.

God works the miracles for his own purposes. It was never about the human personality, it was always about Gods purpose. It's not the preacher on the stage that is "performing" the miracles. It's God seeing into the hearts of all, and knowing that despite the fact the person on the stage is not someone he "knows", it is the person asking for and receiving the miracle, and those that need some proof and are not as blessed as those who believe without seeing, that he is reaching out to. He loves us all too much to let some flamboyant huckster stop him from reaching those who can and will be reached.

One thing that I wonder about: Did the guy on the plane mention the same hypocrisy that you discussed or something else? I don't see a lot of people walking away from the church because the knew of members who are sleeping together outside of marriage. I wonder what specifically that airplane guy mentioned. I left the church I grew up in and loved because many members have replaced biblical teaching with politics. I questioned an older member who said "I won't lift a finger to help an immigrant until every veteran is off the streets." and was roundly attacked for it. My own faith was questioned by members when I communicated that anti abortion bills that require raped kids to carry to term likely violate the Geneva convention and that I cannot support them in good concience. Issues of this sort had become central to Christianity to many in that community, leading to some hypocrisy involving such issues... things like this seem to be a big part of the exodus from the church to me. I am not sure that the church belongs in any "culture wars" because it ruins our witness and often twist our very faith to something we would never recognize at the beginning.

@RCGWho I get your views on abortion... I grew up picketing clinics with my parents. I guess I do worry that subject being "not negotiable" can mean a lot of things to a lot of people. Once you start getting more specific, things are complicated. Throw in public policies based on this belief and things are even messier! Take late term abortion: There are statistically very few late term abortions. People who carry almost to term almost always really want the baby and the abortion is due to complications... so bans lead to things like women who want the baby "bleeding out in a car" as the vice president mentioned in the debate. I am not under the delusion that this one tidbit will affect anyone's opinion much, but I have learned a lot about unintended consequences of these policies and it makes me throw up my hands and say "I don't think big government should be in the world of abortion at all. " It's interesting because once that changed for me, I was able to see that there are plenty of people who have Christian values and motivations that have long been voting on the "other side"... and I had been believing for the first 20 years of my life that they were "the enemy". In the end, I am learning how much bigger God is than these political stances that we place so much weight on... and there is always more to learn!

The gospel is: those who repent of their sins and trust Jesus as Savior and Lord, "to follow Him as Lord", will be forgiven, and cleansed of sin, FOR the **HOLY** Spirit to indwell and sanctify us, that we may be able to follow Jesus into holy living, that we may become like Jesus. Restoring us back to a semblance of the man God created, in His image and likeness. 2 Thessalonians 2:13, Galatians 5:16-21, 1 Thessalonians 4:7-8. It's not because they are working that Jesus send them away, but it's because of their pride, they are "glossing over the power", not in setting the people free from demonic torments. For Jesus Himself, the Son of God, humbled Himself to be under the authority of men to accomplish His mission, to save us from our sins.

Think it’s rather odd that to have exclusive rights to Jesus one must be a Christian… Jesus never heard the word Christian nor did he say one must read the Bible to know him…All started with Catholic anyway, since been modified into sooo many different names of Christian faiths again & again yet supposedly all same, how is that ? These anomalies are what’s questionable & the fact too that Jewish don’t even recognise Christ as anything more than a preacher yet Christians include their books which they not appreciate, if Jesus wernt as been a Jewish person… books then not be included… And Jesus himself found problems with Jewish leaders who supposedly worshipped their own book… Today in the Middle East ppl fighting & dying, children suffering like crazy, ppl usually Christian’s & Jews backing Israel, what would Jesus think of Israel fighting, they certainly not turning the other cheek… Theres always money donations, money changing hands in churches yet Jesus flipped tables the money exchange in the holy temple…Jesus preached from a rock yet rarely see a church these days that’s not adorned with expensive decor & structures… As you can see the anomalies are vast & many & is often why ppl are turning to Jesus purely for himself …

There are two revelations--The Bible and the Book of Nature. The Jews hate Jesus. Why? God blinded the Jews for their unbelief. One day, God will open the remnant of the Jewish people's eyes. The problem is not the book. The problem lies with human beings. Human being is evil. Israel is a secular nation, but I support it. I want everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4). There are 34,000 Christian denominations and 100s of different bibles. The problem does not lie with God, but with people. I have been brainwashed to love the Bible between my two hands. How do I know that the other books are wrong? I have the Holy Spirit. The other people also claim to have the Holy Spirit. “What makes you different?” “…by their fruits, you shall know them.” I am a protestant who follows the Catholics, like, John Wycliffe (1384), Jon Huss (1415), Martin Luther (1517), William Tyndale (1536), and Thomas More (1535), John Calvin (1564). Matthew 5:38. You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye and tooth for tooth.’ But I tell you not to resist an evil person. If someone slaps you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also. This verse is a tough one. However, I am the master Bible twister. I have to interpret this verse, somehow, so that I can live by it. The Bible talks about how to treat your enemy and your evil neighbor. Christians are to treat their enemy and evil neighbor with kindness. What is the rule? Do to others as you would have them do to you (Luke 6:31). I, personally, stay far away from my enemy and the neighbor that I don’t like. “Are you being a hypocrite?” No! Jesus said, “Behold, I am sending you out like sheep among wolves; therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves” (Matthew 10:16).
