The work isn't important. The world doesn't agree with you. DEI kept poking people and bothering people and laughing about it. The market has spoken.

While opinions on DEI vary, it's important to recognize that many organizations, including the military, have successfully implemented inclusive leadership principles and seen positive outcomes. Thanks for sharing!

If there is not DEI with regard to fitness test in the usaf why have charts for men and women? And why are the women's requirements lower than the men's?

When you send your kids on the school bus would you prefer the bus driver be a dei hire ? Or a strictly competence based hire. Dei's danger is directly related to the potential harm of the occupation. Should a structural engineer or the presidential secret service be a dei hire?

DEI is not solely for hiring practices. Qualifications are the priority when hiring someone for a job. It is a misconception that a person will be hire solely based on one of the areas covered by DEI.

@@chcg2000 You didn't answer my question . that's misleading. If it's a meritocracy you wouldnt need to lower the bar for inclusivity. Whichever way you slice it you are" including " a less qualified person for the sake of diversity. When the Chinese govt learned that Americans are promoting black leadership in the US army for the sake of diversity they couldn't believe it , they are still laughing.

@@jaredsindelThe bar is never lowered. Qualifications must be met; in the Air Force, numerical goals are forbidden. Do you think someone hired from one of the DEI components, many of which are protected under Equal Opportunity, is less qualified? Recruiting is done in areas where highly qualified minorities reside, communities that are normally overlooked.

@@chcg2000 the bar for IS lowered for women to join the fire dept (fitness) . The bar is lowered to allow more black people into college (SAT scores). The passing metric for minorities and women IS LOWERED. Tell me with a straight face black college students and Asian college students are given the same scrutiny.

@@jaredsindel Just to clarify: in the Air Force, job standards, including fitness tests, are the same for everyone-no lowering for women or minorities. DEI ensures we have the best, most diverse team, which makes us stronger and more effective. For college admissions, practices vary, so it’s best to check directly with schools. DEI isn't about lowering standards-it's about maximizing our potential by valuing everyone's strengths.
