KSA or DIE. If you’re a government worker or a veteran that has applied for a government job your qualifications are based upon KSA = Knowledge, Skills, Ability. DIE = Diversity, Inclusion, Equity (Equity is not the same as Equality) does nothing to prove an individual’s Knowledge, Skills and Ability to do the job. If a company feels compelled to add a DIE hiring manager or change their company logo to rainbow colors to pander to the LGBTQ group or DIE group, it’s perceived as patronizing and thus that company may have had prior discriminatory hiring practices. Bottom line…any public or private company that discriminates against a person’s race, religion, sexual orientation, political affiliation, economic status, veteran status or disability is in violation of State and Federal employment laws. KSA or DIE. Teach your children well.

Equity: Treating people differently to gain equity is racist if based on the color of one's skin or sexist if based on one's gender. Also, the idea of equity, comes right from the Communist Manifesto: From each according to his ability, to each according to his need." Just provide equal opportunity for all. Allow people the ability to realize their own power instead of treating them like victims who should be compensated. Inclusion: Merit should be the number one factor. Otherwise it is racism. Is there DEI in the NBA?

The Communist Manifesto was referring to *material* disadvantage. ie wealth. That at least made some kind of sense. Progressive taxation and welfare is built around this idea. This is trying to bring equity to abstract nonsense (supposed unconscious biases etc).

Unchecked, the rich accumulate advantages and deplete the economy of consumers until the economy chokes and even the rich get poor. 100% correct. The only important note I'd add is that disabilities are completely different to all the other characteristics mentioned. People with disabilities are, often, at an actual, *material* disadvantage. And it is is justifiable to discriminate in their favour in certain circumstances (to what extent can be discussed). For example, most people would have no problem with disabled parking. And I include mental disabilities, learning disabilities etc in this. It's loathsome that they get lumped in with this woke bullshit.

No two individuals have the same intelligence, skill, ambition, or focus. There is no good reason why someone with high levels of those attributes should be sandbagged because of a diversity hire with lower abilities in those attributes. Individuals and businesses should be able to transact with others in whichever way they'll agree to willingly. When you hire someone “because” of their race or “diversity”they won’t be “included” because they weren’t a merit based hire and everyone knows it. If you really want inclusion you need to end diversity hiring. Do the trading for unconscious bias etc but you need to end diversity hiring because the way things are everyone looks down on someone seen as a diversity hire. I could claim diversity status to get hired but I make it clear to my interviewers that I don’t want any points for diversity. If I’m not the most qualified candidate then don’t hire me.

Is there any end in sight for all this racism that is being perpetuated. How will DEI help. IMHO...I thought we were getting along relatively well, I thought those tumultuous times were behind us. I'm old enough to remember the scary moments of rioting in the streets of NYC during the civil rights movements. Now, I am seeing the start of another nightmare movement. I hope I am wrong. Because it was exactly as I understood it and I came to video bc my friend was just promoted to a job in DEI for her company but is telling me its more complicated than what you just said and I see it simply and clearly. I can't even believe companies are creating entire departments around this to have meetings and creating line items that are not actionable or they are not taking action on.
