Great videos. :O Being somebody that loves everything to do with astronomy, I knew about all of this EXCEPT the wobble and it lasting for thousands of years. Thanks!

What a great explanation! Would have loved to have access to this kind of demonstrations when I was growing up

Wonderfully explained! Thank you ! loved it . Also got to know a new thing. The wobbling time - 26000 years. That makes me think, that if it takes 13000 years for the axis to be exactly in the opposite direction of wobble, then when humans first got into Agriculture which as per science was about 12000 years ago, was it summer in the Northern Hemisphere in January during that time ?!!!

Great Question, kind of explains why it feels like the seasons are shifting

Thank you! Surely the hours of daylight also play a part in the temperatures of the seasons?

Why does the moon's orbit sometimes appear to pass directly over my head, but sometimes it appears to pass about 45° toward the southern horizon? (I live in the northern hemisphere.) I wonder if it has to do with the tilt of the earth's axis relative to the plane of the eliptic?
@delstanley13492 жыл бұрын
4:00 Which way is the earth actually tilted? Half the demonstrations show the earth's tilt as above where the earth is tilted on an axis northeast to southwest. The other half of demonstrations show the tilt on a axis northwest to southeast. I have a desk top globe that tilts the globe northwest to southeast. It wouldn't change the seasons demonstrations since all you need is a tilt, and it is the tilt that creates the seasons, but it would make a difference on WHERE the earth is on its revolution about the sun. Here you are showing the earth "west" of the sun for summer and therefore its farthest point from the sun, BUT tilted towards it if you are in the northern hemisphere. However, if the earth is actually tilted northwest to southeast then summer (for the northern hemisphere) on earth would be "east" of the sun on its revolution and the seasons would flip. Like I said most demonstrations of the earth's tilt is 50/50 northwest-southeast and northeast to southwest as per above.

Yet Southern Hemisphere Summer must be different from Northern Hemisphere Summer as in January foci distance is different w.r.to foci distance w.r.to July... I mean summer temperatures will be different. Earth Wobbling never ever will take place that tilt 23.5 degree will never change... Secrets revealed in Brahma kumaris Education Wing.
