When I got into my late 20s I already started feeling so much pressure to dress more "mature" and "adult" aka boring and conservative. I used to find so much joy in experimenting with fashion in my teens and early 20s. For real, you get to a point in life where people just don't wanna hear about your childhood being used as an excuse. It gets to a point where if someone keeps complaining about their mental health issues, yet make no attempt to work on them, people just stop caring. I'm 23 and have realized this, she's in her 30s and clearly doesn't. The difference is she can afford treatment, I don't have health insurance and can't. She can literally afford the best doctors, best psychotherapist, yet she actively chooses not to and is on a constant decline.
