Had a hamster in a 40 gallon breeder tank for a couple years. When it passed we tried to sell the tank and stand but nobody wanted it. So my wife suggested a fish tank and that was it. Five full planted deep sand substrate tanks later and everything is thriving. Angelfish, rainbow fish, shrimp, and a couple bettas later and we couldn't be happier in the hobby.

Nice video and beautiful aquarium! one day in lockdown a 5 gallon scape popped up in my suggestions.. It might be because I watched a lot of coastal foraging or fishing vids.. even though I don't fish lol... but for what ever reason it was there... a stunning 5 gallon scape caught my eye! It was a channel called TropicTank, I wanted a stunning colourful water garden like his! I'm so thankful of that video.. it started with the plants but very soon became the fish.. and the plants obviously, but I didn't think I would be as in to the fish as I am now

Hello M8, just found your channel and have watched every video. I've kept fish since I was about 6, I'm 50 now. Last ten years I've been into aquascaping. Currently got 2 tanks, a 35l Dennerle scaper and a fluval Roma 200. I'm actually downsizing the Roma to a 60cm All Pond Solutions low iron 90l for time and cost reasons. Already have red phantom tetras and cardinal's which I'm keeping to stock it with but your idea of a honey gourami as a centre piece is appealing. Anyway keep up the good work and look forward to the next video.

Thank you very much for your support and I'm glad you have enjoyed the videos so far. It is a fantastic hobby and I will let you in on a little secret but Cardinal Tetras are my favourite fish.
@andylees136Күн бұрын
Yeah I'm liking the Cardinals, look great in planted tanks. I find the Phantoms very chilled as they don't seem to swim around like mad as some other fish do lol. It'll be after Xmas when I scape my 60cm so just mulling over ideas . Got some inspiration from your set ups which are looking fantastic.

I recently subscribed to your channel. Similar story, I've been watching MD Fish Tanks for a while and decided to get back into it. Hope to get more tanks in the future 👍

Enjoyed your story. I'm always curious about what drives people in this hobby, and what makes the leavers (like me) eventually return.

Same as you, I used to be in the hobby many years ago, and looking to get back into it now. What other tanks have you got? I'm looking at one of yours, SuperFish, or Oase. Can't make my mind up. Great video by the way.
@AH-Aquatics2 күн бұрын
Thank you very much. I have four tanks currently; Superfish scaper 45, Superfish Qubiq 30, Aqua one Aqua Nano 60 and an Oase Scaperline 60. All great tanks although the Superfish are outstanding value.

Thank you for the video! Would you mind sharing the name of that long plant in the background? Possibly cyperus helferi or vallisneria? Cheers
@AH-Aquatics19 сағат бұрын
Thank you for watching! On one side it is vallisneria spiralis and on the other side it is cryptocoryne balansae.
