The reason they can't pay college players is because it would be difficult for the NCAA the regulate... There are a few schools that have lots of money/wealthy alums. This would make the colleges able to buy/pay for the best players, and smaller colleges would never have a chance to compete or grow. Also the same would be true for Jr.colleges......and a few other reasons.i played college basketball and we did get a perdium when we traveled out of town and we got money every week called laundry money, this was also 25 years ago, we got 65.00 a week.

As soon as you signed with that school and for that scholarship, you gave the contractors(the school) permission to tell you what you could and could not do and to enforce the restrictions put on you whether you knew all the restrictions or not. My mother used to tell me and my brothers to know the laws of the country we lived in. The same applies for everything you join whether it's a school, job, or whatever. It's all a contract of some sort if you have to sign. You either adhere to the terms or suffer the consequences. You chose to suffer the consequences.
