My estranged wife has been clean from crack for over a year now after an extreme addiction since 2011. She did go almost 18 months clean from the fall of 2017 to June 2019. But it got really bad when the injections started in 2022. Original movie: Capt. Stubing - "Never in my presence will this ship be referred to as 'The Love Boat'." Several seasons later: Capt. Stubing - "Ah well, that's the Love Boat." Crew looks at each other in astonishment.

I went to High School with lauren. She was in the drama class and she was positive she would make it in the entertainment industry. She was very friendly and always had a big smile. Her picture is right by mine in the year book of seniors. She came from humble roots and never thought she was better than you. We missed her at our 20th. I hoped she's doing well

I LOVED the Love Boat as a kid and thought Julie was so-PRETTY-had a-GREAT-smile and was so friendly too. Everyone slips up and makes mistakes in life,so glad she got the help she needed and turned things around.Also glad she's alive and doing well these days. I always liked Julie and Isaac as the two most entertaining characters in the show. We never watched all of the seasons, and I think I caught one of the specials, but for the most part the Love Boat rests peacefully in my memories.

She was 'me tooed' years before abuse in Hollywood was publicized. Actors were allowed to grope/ grab her. Aaron Spelling notoriously treated women like they should be gratedul they were on TV and not complain about a few 'inconveniences' that came with the life. She had sucessfully completed rehab then was fired anyway. She was a gracious, big hearted person. Her and Charisma Carpenter's last season dismissal from Buffy were betrayals of actresses that upset me the most.

I grew up on the Love Boat! I love the original cast but didn't care for the additions of Patricia Klous and Ted McGinley in the final two seasons. Judy was okay but, she wasn't Julie! It was probably Spelling whom made Patricia Klous' character the sister of Julie McCoy because, it worked on his other hit series Charlie's Angels(when they introduced Kris Monroe as the younger sister of Jill). I remembered watching a tv biography on Charlie's Angels and Spelling saying "if we introduce her as the kid sister, who would hate her"? I guess he had this same idea in mind with the Judy McCoy character. On other hand, i appreciate you making this video about our "favorite cruise director " and thank you for giving Ms. Tewes her flowers. Btw, Gavin MacLeod and Jill Whelan were my favorite cast members!

My memories of the show was it was on before Fantasy Island. I also marvelled at how big the staterooms were with 2 what looked like full or queen beds. Sometime after 1977 a friend of ours was on a Princess cruise. Things were laxer then, we went down to the Princess terminal at LA harbor to see her off. We actually got to go on board - I'm not sure how they kept track of us but at the appointed time we got off the ship. Anyway, we went to the friends cabin and it was SO small compared to what we see on TV - 2 twin beds and barely enough room to turn around. . Of course that's what the always say about TV.

Well I liked the show, I liked her character, but I was rather young, and didn't get into the rumors and gossip of Hollywood, it is harder to do these days but I try to separate the characters from the actors, as stated, they are people the same as us, so obviously they can have bad habits and make bad decisions, they just have theirs in the public eye as all forms of press and popularity constantly try answering the why questions. But be that as it may , some of these actors gave us some of the best characters we grew up with and attached to. I always try to catch reruns, though for this show they are few and far between these days, also it always put a smile on my face when I caught the actors of this show in other roles. It's hard to deny The Love Boat was a very fun and entertaining show. Also I do miss seeing her on a daily her smile was a beautiful thing, even for a child of my preteen age.

I remember watching The Love Boat cast on a day time talk show appearance in the early-to-mid 80's (Dinah Shore?) where, while all the rest of the cast behaved normally, Lauren's behavior was surprising and even shocking for the time. Her character on The Love Boat was squeaky clean, cute, and bubbly, but throughout the talk show segment though, she kept swearing and being bleeped repeatedly! Memorable, but for all the wrong reasons

It's currently being rerun on a retro-tv station in our area and my wife and I still watch an episode from time to time. It's corny as hell but what's wrong with that? It's a fun show.
