The REAL Reason The Acolyte SUCKS

We need to remember that Palpatine mentioned that his master was able to create a child with the Force alone (see Star Wars Episode III if memory serves me right and look at his discussion with Anakin just before Anakin turned to the dark side), so this isn't that far fetched. The witches are force wielders so the creation of the twins is possible. No one seems to have balked at this creation where a man who can't reproduce did. Which story is more far fetched, male or female procreation? It is clear that with Episode 3 of Acolyte that the witches are looking at space/time as a "thread" that is in constant motion. This parallels the Greek and Taoist view as well. What is unclear is why did they manifested twins (maybe Zen Balance?) and what was/is the purpose of the twins? Procreation is for a continuance into a future generation. Inconsistencies and elements that break out of the fantasy parallels what Tolkien said in "The Letters of Tolkien" about world creation and consistency. Not enough time was put to the Wiccan culture/religion and it shows profoundly. All Disney put to this was "Bad experiences" and Jedi being "showy" with their skills and not very effective when push comes to shove and their skills are put to a real test. The Jedi are full of themselves and it shows in how they have changed from what was in the original three episodes that Lucus put together. The problem has nothing to do with the sex of the actors or the story. Age/Time corrodes culture. The lack of the script reveals additional things we do not know: Were all the Jedi involved in the destruction of the witches or just some of them? Is there corruption buried in the Jedi code in some way? Was Mae involved in the destruction of the witches (as stated by the Jedi) because of negligence while trying to kill her sister? At the least, there are a lot of control issues on all sides of this chapter of the show. We have few answers and a lot more questions. At the least, who did what and why? What this points to is a lack of definition and purpose. The witches and the rituals are poorly defined. There is too much story to tell in too little time for this series. If you are going to show a different application of The Force, you need to take the time to explain it to the audience.

The toxic Star Wars fan community drove the same Jar Jar Binks to suicide earlier. Due to the fact that mentally he could no longer handle this toxicity. The actor who played young Anakin also had to drop out of school because of how poisonous they were to him, mentally and emotionally ruining his entire life that was just beginning. And George Lucas couldn't do it, they wrote that he himself literally doesn't know how to make Star Wars. It was you, the Toxic Star Wars hating community, that forced him to sell the rights to Disney. I have spoken. And for anyone who doesn't like the 7,8,9 trilogy, I will reveal that there are three other worst movies that should never have been made, Holiday Special, Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure, and Ewoks: The Battle for Endor. So I will tell you that the new trilogy turned out much better than it seems, but that's my opinion anyway, we know that everything will work out in time. Because Star Wars is our childhood, our adolescence, our love, our feelings, our life forever.

Every one of the movies by himselfe are good even 8 Last Jedi but that was mistake by one stupin man. But these film are still better then these ones down here.\/ Okay so the best trilogy of Star Wars movies from the original George Lucas era. Saga that ended Balck Panther Wakanda Forever. Dave Filony, after trying Acolite episode 5, decided to be the head of the new leader who was put in charge of Star Wars. He said that an R-rating SW movie is planned.

I will never understand how can anyone draw conclusions without knowing anything about what is happening. Rewatch the episode 2 and 3 and many things including cuts are deliberately weird. These episodes are told from a certain point of view we still don't know the whole picture

I had no issues withe episode other than the obligatory laughing witch. That was pretty saccharine and cringy. Other Than that, no problems. No need for self induced headaches. Life's too short. No need to make it shorter by stressing out over Star Wars. It's always had some ridiculous aspects to it. Always. ( Except for ANH and ESB)

Y’all assuming that Mother Aniseya is being both 1) honest and 2) literal when she tells the Jedi there was no father. What if there was a father or donor in some fashion and she used alchemy to split one fertilized egg into two to create not life, but twins? They literally say something implying that where there was one there is now two. Maybe when she’s talking to Koril, she just means “hey, I chose you to bear them and I worked the spell to ensure you conceived.” Besides. We have a Sith lord canonically effing with midichlorians to create and resuscitate life, and we have the Force creating life (in some characters’ opinion as a direct response to the Sith lord’s hubris). This strikes me as the same category.

If it comes out later that there is a father, then I’m more than happy to change my opinion. Depending on, again, how it’s done. So far I’m not impressed with any part of how they’ve told this story. It’s been a mess from the beginning. And the force pushing back against 2 Sith Lords trying to create a force-sensitive being, is not the same as creating a force-sensitive being(or 2) using the force. They are just watering down how special Anakin truly was. It’s garbage that should’ve never been made. It would take me some Olympic level mental gymnastics to make it make sense.

@@SWPhoenixSquadron Fair enough! I can see that perspective, especially watering down Ani’s Chosen One status. Apparently it’s canon now that creating a Force dyad was always a Sith goal and that’s what Plagueis was after? I dunno how I feel about bout that, but it could be my anti-sequel-lore bias popping up. I guess I just appreciate that at least they’re finally bringing a different Force tradition to the screen. In Legends there were a dozen or more; in Canon all we’ve had is Jedi and Sith (which while two orders is still just one understanding of the Force) and Nightsisters. I say bring on the weird stuff. I may not love the idea of Force-aided reproductive assistance, but the idea of the Thread grabbed me.

@@avonbarksdale2506 Possible, time will tell. One thing people are definitely getting wrong though, is this idea that the Jedi are “the bad guys” and the witches are “the good guys”. Whatever real-world institution each are or are not intended to represent, I don’t know how they could have been clearer about what they want you to *think* about these “guys”: “This is not about good or bad. It’s about power, and who is allowed to wield it.” Can’t get more literal than that.

Good points with an interesting use of the cat analogy. It was hard to watch for a lot of reasons. Yeah, we're probably going to see this story again from different points of view. As has been true of other Disney attempts, the flow is clunky. As backstory, a different approach may have worked better. Supposedly, that's why producers make the big bucks, eh? 'Nuff said about that. I'm hoping the next layer of the onion will enlighten us. I'm trying to keep a good thought. Cheers.

Thanks man! To be honest, I don’t like making negative content. But I committed to reviewing this, unfortunately so I’m going to be honest. I hated it lol. The first 2 were a mess, but episode 3 was created in a litter box. We say cat sh*t at work instead of dog sh*t, because dog sh*t, at least can fertilize the lawn 🤣

Describing the force differently than the Jedi doesn’t mean that it’s wrong. It just means that it’s a different point of view. Anakin Skywalker was created from the force as well. I felt this was a good explanation about the twins. I feel that one twin may be more susceptible to the dark side, and the other to the light of the force. The force is both dark and light.

Anakin didn't have a father so it's not unfathomable that Mei and Osha were created with some sort of witchy Force chicanery. I don't necessarily like it, but I'm not the biggest fan of a lot of the things Star Wars has done when it comes to explaining the Force. Just add this to the list.

It pisses me off. My biggest take away from it is: Anakin isn't the chosen one, he didn't bring balance to the force and a fatherless birth isn't a big deal in this universe...Which it was supposed to be.

@@PapaEmeritusII I don't think so. It did seem implied that Osha and Mei were brought into existence... unnaturally, or in a way that would piss the Jedi off at least. There was obviously some kind of manipulation going on. Anakin just happened naturally without some weird undulating witches causing it.
