I have tested signal strength on my two different phones Moto G4 Plus and Nokia 6.1 Plus at two different locations (approximate 1km far from each other). I observed, that with and without cover there is no difference in db rating at both places. Agreed companies have taken huge efforts in design. But for personally me matters resell price, huge depends on phone appearance. Agreed heat dissipation significantly affects. For me personally, it does not make any difference to me as I neither use heavy applications (even games), nor watch fullHD videos on phone. I never observed phone is much heated after watching youtube even after removal of back cover just after finished watching videos. Sorry mate, this time thumb down to this video in my aspect or as per my usage and experience while using phone with rubber back cover on it.

Yeh I was able to get good replacement value due to use of cover and screen protector constantly. I am a heavy user but never had the network issue. Maybe heating issue while Pubg but then you should not play more than 2 hrs constantly. So with breaks it work good for me.
