I understand and see your perspective on wanting to preserve the original design of the phone. For me I always view my phone as a resource and not an accessory to look at so I always like to put a case on it. For it it allows the device to be more personalized since iPhones are very common and a good case adds more durability to the phone which is important to me because not only is the phone fragile since it Made of glass but also expensive to repair the glass also. Anyway that my perspective always enjoy seeing and sharing what our different perspective is on this topic about cases.

A few thoughts after researching going this route. Breaking phones is a business - it’s beneficial to charge you for Apple care, screen repairs etc. and folks who buy these can easily afford repairs and insurance, it’s easy money for Apple they don’t have to design these things to be durable if they got you on the design train - ingenious actually. You don’t take your leather sofa or nice guitar camping, running, or to work where you use it as a functional tool nowadays.

that doesn't really make sence because Apple sells cases for the iPhone which are extremely expensive.. if you have apple care screen repaires are cheaper then their cases Apple care is only 10$ a month for 2 years.. they make way more money selling their fancy leather cases. which people usually buy apple care with cases which is a scam in my opinion. just get apple care.

thing is, cases do a great job protecting your phone but even in a case it can still break.. but you're less likely to break your phone while dropping with a case then without one. I just started this no case thing today. I’ve always appreciated the beauty of the iPhones only to slap a case on them right away. I dropped my new SE in the toilet earlier (yes it works fine - I just vacuumed the openings for a few minutes) and decided to go the day without the case while I soak it in some bleach water…even the silicone cases get scuzzy looking after a while and I hate it. But I’ve been having so much fun using my phone naked, so I looked up if there were any other crazy people out there. I love looking at my phone for the first time since I unboxed it, and it feels great in my hand and the screen feels more responsive without the protector. And I’ve seen through many videos how durable the new iPhones are. I can definitely vouch for the water resistance! The last great(in my eyes) phone I had was a Motorola G7 Power back in 2010. That fell in the toilet and did not make it out alive so naturally I had a mini stroke as I cleaned and dried my SE. Anyway, great content as always. Und nicht, Stichwort: Überzüge für wunderschöne Holz/Lederlenkräder, Schonbezüge für Ledersitze... 😅 Only exception: when i know i will be in an environment/prolonged situation, where falls or damage are 99,9% likely (hiking, long travels, shooting range/competition) and the priority swaps 100% on function & reliability - then it's "case time", to save me from worst case, which is grief, loss of function & repair time (which is - for me - of higher value than money).

As someone who is contemplating... On whether or not to get a case myself, I find that you just need to become hyper aware of your phone's surroundings. For example, never putting your case less phone in your pocket with keys or coins. In addition, you need to be aware what surface you're putting your phone on... Because it might be dirty or worse yet... Slippery and on a slope. If you folks have the mental capacity to do that... That's fine. But as a dad, I can't have that undivided and focused attention on my phone (aka tool) for too long. Putting a case on your phone isn't to to make it ugly, but rather to make it life proof.

right! I musst have invisible diamonds in my pockets - no clue where else these scratches on the display might come from 🤨 Kids x cellphone, yes, that's a different story 😂

I don't either. Iphone 13 was abused, dropped from 4 feet onto every surface 15 times. These things are tough these days. It's not an S8 that breaks when you give it a mean look...

why are apple users so insecure and mock other products. samsung products are way cooler than apple products nowadays
@talalwasim76729 ай бұрын
I mostly use without case but do put a case once in a while coz i get bored of the default look. A case just adds a lot of character. And as for drops i never dropped my huawei p20 in its 4.5 years of use so dont imagine dropping my 14 pro max anytime. And from the droptests on YT, it seems to break when dropped on concrete but on normal surfaces should be fine

As a person, who switched back from a iPhone 12 pro max, to a s23u. I have to admit, that apples Produkt's always a dysign, that feels magic. But i would say no case is no option for the most. I instead took the money, to get a 90€ leather case for my s23U. Like without a Case my phone would be dead by now. And i think for the most ppl. that isn't much different.

Of course it's up to each person and probably you're right it doesn't make much difference for the most, which is part of my vids aims, drawing attention to the value of design.

I go caseless at home, rather my phone fall on carpet than concrete. Other than that for me it’s just the general inconvenience and waste of time that breaking my phone can cause. I’d rather spend $40 on a decent case and screen protector that’ll take seconds to install than spend hours getting the phone fixed or worse shipped to me.

Really good points you made and I seriously start considering going caseless. I've had my Galaxy S8 for 7 years now, when I bought it, I didn't unbox it until the Spigen case arrived. 😅 Barely left the case since then. Apart from some wear around the charging port and the camera edges, the screen and back are in immaculate condition. Pulled it out of the case a couple of days ago, and I wondered, how actually I never appreciated the design and sleek feel and look. The glass back which reflects so nice. How beautifully crafted the curved screen is.( and we're talking about an old ass phone). All in all, I'm considering going caseless for now and the next phone I upgrade. I think I've dropped my S8 not more than 10 times since I've owned it, so it's fair to say I'm pretty careful with my device. Anyway, great insight. Just like you said, what's the point of buying a nice leather sofa, and then wrapping it in plastic foil? Plastic foil which, invariably, you'll change quite often.

I mean, it's kind of straightforward. If the luxury of enjoying your phone's design is worth the cost of insurance or the risk of breaking it and having to replace it, then go caseless. But for most people, that little luxury isn't worth the cost or risk.

Caseless 15 Pro Max user here. AppleCare + is my case. AppleCare Comes with the Apple Upgrade program. $29 for glass repair or $99 for overnight express replacement. That’s about the cost of what most people spend on a single case and some buy multiple cases. Cases get nasty and turn yellow etc. Not only that, but one thing that most people don’t realize is the majority of iPhones that come into the Apple Store for glass repair were broken while in a case. If it’s gonna break it’s gonna break. Get AppleCare + and enjoy your phone as it was designed. I didn’t buy a $1,400 phone to wrap it in plastic or rubber 😂

And I've ALWAYS had a case on every smartphone I've ever owned. This is the first time I'm actually thinking of going caseless with this one, because it actually handles pretty well without one. So long as I'm always careful when I have it out, it's a risk I'm willing to take. That and the warranty I purchased for it, just in case...no pun intended. lol

If i go out for a large period of the day or work on my car/do outside activities, then ill slap a case on. If im at home all the time or do small grocery trips where i know i wont use my phone much (i have a galaxy watch 5 pro) then ill just leave it in my pocket. I USE my stuff, but i am not purposely careless. My son doesnt use my phone at all either, so i dont have any reason to be all stressed about it getting damaged. I think the good middle ground is to have a case or two ready in CASE you want to mix it up a bit, but i do appreciate the design of things better. A screen protector is more of a must due to the micro scratches caused by bits of sand, dust, stuff like that that end up in your pockets. I live in a hot desert region so you WILL get those abrasions on your screen. good video, solid quality. keep it up! I am sub number 650!

Definitely don't have the expendable income to not have a protective case. If it breaks I won't be able to have another easily Edit: I don't agree with the examples used. An expensive phone in incomparable to so sofa and very much more fragile. All it takes is a single drop to have a cracked screen and unusable device. Like I mentioned before, if it breaks it's not gonna be the same experience for everyone. While you may able to go easily spend money on a repair or even a new phone, many people can't. A sofa can take a beating, a phone can't.
