1. Identify the root cause of your inconsistency: Take some time to reflect on why you struggle to study consistently. Are you unmotivated or overwhelmed? Do you have too many distractions or not enough time? Understanding the underlying cause of your inconsistency can help you develop strategies to overcome it. 2. Set clear and achievable goals: Identify specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals for your studies. Break down larger goals into smaller, actionable tasks and set deadlines for yourself to help you stay motivated and on track. 3. Create a study schedule: Plan out your study time in advance and block out dedicated study times on your calendar. Consider using tools such as the Pomodoro technique to structure your study sessions and take regular breaks to help you stay focused and energized. 4. Minimize distractions: Turn off notifications on your phone or computer and find a quiet, distraction-free location to study. Consider using tools such as Freedom or Cold Turkey to block distracting websites or apps. 5. Take care of your physical and mental health: Make sure you are getting enough sleep, exercise, and healthy nutrition to support your studies. Make time for activities that help you relax and recharge, such as hobbies or spending time with loved ones. Seek support from a healthcare professional or therapist if you are struggling with stress or other mental health issues. 6. Seek support and accountability: Consider hiring a tutor or joining a study group to help you stay motivated and on track. Seek feedback from your professors or mentors to help you identify areas for improvement and stay accountable. Consider joining a professional organization or networking group to connect with like-minded individuals and learn from their experiences.

We should make things easier to stay consistent; no one runs with spikes in their shoes, but here 12:20 the granimalistic mindset, doing a thing or two a day on hard mood to callus the mind is just too fun to miss. Great video, makes a lot sense.

Wow! Another superb video and very much relatable. You look at things from a different viewpoint. I totally agree with your idea. I totally lost my few months for preparing USMLE because I stuck to the recommended study sources and emphasized a lot on my self discipline. Later on I switched to much interactive and well-integrated resources like USMLE-Rx and AMBOSS, and the learning was very easy and I felt like finally I got the ENVIRONMENT I wanted. Many people will understand this very later in the journey. You have illustrated it very well in your video. If anyone going through this video understands what you really want to say, it will be definitely a game-changing experience in their life. Somewhere in my heart I always had this same feeling/intuition. Thank u very much Santiago. With love and best wishes for u!!

This video is so underrated. Tremendous work. I wish more and more medical, and non-medical students heard this.

I already use same method subconsciously.. like to study Pharma, micro and even pathology i read sketchy as i enjoyed studying from those sketches and stories and stuff.. all my classmates were reading the recommended books and guess what i was the one who was most calm & relaxed while revising before exams . And i also scored well in my exams 😌😁

you know man you have a good point of view it make your environment an help for you by remove distraction from it and make things flow easy and I agree with this 100 % but i wonder if this affect on the ability of " despline in our life " it doesn't enhance your despline skills for examples it like you don't have win in your home so you don't drink it but if of an y reason there is win you will drink . i think what you have said if effective for studying especially when you don't like to fell it as life as military medical school doctor most of the time you are allowed to carry phone with you so you are not distracted . but in other fields of life I think what make us displine is having a good reason for why we are doing that thing . but actually the problem in that what we do when we don't fell it .

I get where you're coming from. I think his video is an alternate point of view for people who have a really hard time committing to things. I feel that over the course of weeks to months of not having your phone near you, you'd just have the habit drilled in to not reach for your phone while studying/working even if it was available to you. Basically it's just about starting off easy like this then eventually you'll probably be able to do things normally!
