that's how I organize my videos. I just go though my subscriptions, add new videos to the watch-later list and then just have enough for a few the evening without the need to look for new videos to watch.

I used to procrastinate a lot on exercise, until I got a lot better at it, and stronger. So I guess I procrastinate to avoid feelings of incompetence.

TedEd actually made a blog post about procrastination a few months ago, I believe. What I learned from that was when we equate our accomplishments to our self-worth, we'll procrastinate to avoid feelings of inadequacy. You're pretty spot on 😁👏🏼

I tend to procrastinate because of the extreme stress and anxiety studying gives me. I'm a perfectionist and the last few years I've experienced a lot of 'failure', which probably leads to me having these feelings. Despite me aknowledging this, I can't bring myself to change...

Real interesting information here about such a common problem we all suffer from! I started my KZbin channel just doing VLOGS, but after watching videos like this and reading books about self improvement I've shifted gears. It's amazing how much we can improve ourselves with just a few tweaks here and there in our routines and habits.

Shortening the workweek woudln't work as well for me since I feel like my energy drops intermittently so I'm really bad at jobs where continual use of energy and focus is needed. Getting 20 hours effective work done requires 35 hour work week with slack spread inbetween the hours. If I was to try and do it all in only 20 hours then there would be slack spread between those hours and it'd be less anyway. *I miss the days when I could have high energy the entire day. I didn't even understand that all people do'nt have that before i didn't as i got older.*

To don't list with short term wants We need to distinguish between working long hours and worth while work. We should not consider the volume of output but instead the value of output. Leaders have decided to 4 days of work per week. Ur focus,efficiency and productivity increases
@xXbaker1025Xx
@xXbaker1025Xx Жыл бұрын
The concept of a shorter work week very much coincides with Parkinson's Law, as you would not only be artificially more productive by having less hours (thus tightening the ratio of work done to hours of work) but also could have a psychological effect of causing more productivity by making people feel like they have less time to get everything done, causing them to be more focused.

You are still confusing productivity and efficiency. Doing the same work in shorter time isn't productivity. Productivity is doing the right thing. The fact that one does less social media scrolling doesn't make the rest of the work the right thing to do. For example this topic is in line with my mission, so it's not procrastination and it's productivity. For those who are not focused on this, who are watching it, for them this is procrastination and unproductive. Objectively anything is productive if it's in line with nature's way. If it has an impact that's supporting how life evolved, it's productive, if it doesn't it's unproductive.

"how does she mange her procrastination so productively?"
@rainerkrammconsulting227
@rainerkrammconsulting227 4 жыл бұрын
@Rebecca Leeman subjectively if your goal is to kill people then for you as an individual it's productive. From objective view it's not productive. Keeping in mind that even objectivity (the laws of nature) changes in time because we humans (our perception) changes in time. Productivity is not something fixed, it depends on the viewer. However, working against ones own inclination is always non productive for ones goal in life. And that conflict creates anxiety, stress, depression.
