Game developers used to approach making a game as creating the best game they could so people would enjoy it and it would sell. Now devs just push crazy prerelease info and try to squeeze as much money from consumers on easy to create content from micro transactions. Thats why these games from dev teams of one or two or indie developers are having a great time right now. Because they actually CARE about the game they’re creating. Not just the profitability.

I agree, a lot of games are micro-transaction heavy. One question for you based on my point in the video though. Let’s say you got one of the new “AAA” games for $5 or less? I got bf2042 for that price. Would you then say the game is worth its value? Especially if you could play with friends? Or alternatively, do you think games like this shouldn’t exist at all? Would love to know your thoughts

This is amazing... THANK YOU FOR SHINING LIGHT ON NEW GAMES! The people i used to play 2k with are stuck on that game and they call everything else that actually takes skill either "lame " or "boring".... THANK YOU

The only reason i lose interest in todays games because they are boring, super easy and too much hand holding. What comes to single player games is that the stories are not very great and again too easy, no challenge what so ever. I'm talking about AAA games here oh and also multiplayer game communities are toxic as hell, people just want to make others suffer mentally and there's no place for casual players and if you aren't that good in a game you get shit on. Games nowadays are just made to increase your virtual penis size and bragging.

@RealJustBillАй бұрын
agreed - tbh the engines have been pretty repetitive and i was hoping for something great for this console generation.... which ended up being disappointing.
@WolfDarkroseАй бұрын
@@RealJustBill if they can do crossplatform play then they sure as hell can go back and work on older titles on the same engines in my book

I always thought it was all the negativity whenever anything new comes out lol
@RealJustBillАй бұрын
It honestly depends on the situation/game tbh. Some games there's reasonable outrage - other times not so much.
@Phoenix_of_SunАй бұрын
@@RealJustBill I guess. Its one thing to just say, oh yeah that game looks bad and not for me, then move on, why do people get outraged by something they have a choice in purchasing? I mean I kinda get it back in the day before KZbin and everything where you might buy a game, realize it sucks, and then get stuck holding the bag because you can’t get a refund. That can be a reasonable outrage. But these days with all the reviews, critics, gaming news, etc., its almost impossible to go into a game blind.

I disagree. Hate that game. They stole 100+ dollars from me when they wouldn't refund their trash broken game. We had it better in the past and to accept sub par products is unacceptable with the advances in game development we have. Game companies need to do better. If solo developers can make better games there are no excuses for these games. I've played better games in the past. Because they actually were better. I've tried to make new experiences. Can't when all games are politically correct and neutered by modern day immersion breaking nonsense such as chat bans, pay walls, and of course immersion breaking micro transactions. I stopped playing call of duty for the same reasons. When a developer makes something I want I'll play it. Until then. I will not accept greedy, political, neutered, and lazy products. Good video but no I disagree.

Have you tried any single player games? I heard god of war is a really good series to try + warhammer 40K
@I_am_Dad_SonАй бұрын
I agree. Developers aren't pushing the newer hardware to it's limits in a healthy way that makes said game enjoyable for a majority of consumers. Instead they are taking advantage of beefier hardware to take shortcuts in development. That's why every new game eats all your ram and vram, has memory leaks, and cant even run max settings natively on a 4080 to top it all off. That is unacceptable. There's no reason why a 4090 shouldn't be able to run the newest AAA games at max settings in 1440p at atleast 120fps. But sadly there's plenty of games that quite literally depend on frame generation for them to even be playable at the usual standard of 120+ fps. Remember the jump from PS2 to PS3? The gap is insane. There's games on PS3 that hold up to this day. And the PS3 had literally 256mb vram. And was by far the beefiest console of that generation. PS3 to PS4 the difference is way less. PS5 has been out for 4 years and it still feels untapped. Instead of making games that are improvements over last gen. They are essentially just selling the same games over and over with higher FPS and using ram and vram to cut corners and push out the games too soon. Even the "improved" fps has been a joke with the past 2 generations of consoles. PS4 was sold as a 60 fps at 1080p console with some 4k capabilities. What a joke. No modern games ran 60fps. The Pro came out and basically did what Sony promised the base PS4 would do. Same goes for PS5. They marketed it as something that can run AAA games at 120fps and in 4k. What a joke.
