As with many things the truth often is somewhere in the middle. Did HHH go the Stephanie intentionally for his career? Possibly. Did they have an affair? Looks like they did. Could HHH ended his relationship with Chyna in a better way? Likely. Did Chyna demand to much money and overplay her hand? Also probably true. I’ve always liked Chyna. Probably the only time a strongwoman archetype was utilized fairly well. People can say what they want about her whether it be how she acted behind the curtain or whether it’s mocking her appearance and gender. The character was an icon who broke barriers for the time. I was sad when news of her passing broke out. At least now she can know peace without the personal issues and insecurities. I only wish I could have met her to give my appreciation to her.

Regardless of what happened, Joanie had her issues. Her family and friends have stated this multiple times. And it's sad to hear that, because I have the bipolar disorder and it makes things VERY difficult. Everything that people that know Joanie has said makes me believe that she also had this issue. When you have mental health issues and dont get help to deal with them, you become a shitstorm of emotional, physical and mental problems. I dont know about Paul's relationship with Stephanie and no one does but them, but hearing everyone's thoughts on their relationship, Paul really did care about her. But their relationship just fizzled out. And it happens at times. But joanies family didnt even want to be near her at the end of her lifetime, which is very sad to hear. All of her issues had eventually caught up to her and caused a strain on her personal life in the end. Sincerely wish that she got the help that she needed, but she will always be remembered for her career as Chyna. That much is concrete.

I think the truth is somewhat in the middle(as it usually is). She wasn't forced out of WWE, however she was jaded due to the situation and probably demanded more money thinking they'd give it to her because of the situation as hush money or whatever. When they refused she probably felt she could do better on her own. But being heartbroken she got into drugs and spiraled out of control leading to her making bad decisions, losing gigs, etc forcing her to make money off porn. I'm sure that also affected her mind state on top of the drugs and then she never recovered. Hence the OD. I could be wrong though but that seems to me to be somewhat closer to the truth than Chynas version and what information/rumors are out there.

Chyna imo considering what she was accomplishing and would have meant to the Women's Division and working in an environment and dealing with all the crap she had to then deal with going back, was more than worth the $1,000,000 dollars. Chyna was the best female wrestler on that roster, she could hang with the men in the ring, and was one of their biggest stars. That said, you also had Trish on the come-up, you had Lita that was building a rivalry with her. The "Women's Revolution" may have happened a ton sooner, especially with such a dominant champion such as Chyna whom was like an Amazonian Goddess as well as a great worker in the ring. That's a rare combination and I don't think that WWE has ever captured the same total package that Chyna was since then. The closest in terms of the total package was when they had Awesome Kong as Kharma.. but they let her slip away too. Which once more.. delayed the Women's Revolution.

It wasn't until her name was brought up on that interview by HHH where things started heading south for her. She never got over him. This is complete bullshit. First off, she did not have her life together. In fact, when she left for Japan, she nearly was kicked off the flight to Japan for her erratic behavior while intoxicated on the flight. Secondly, she was teaching her students inappropriate things (I think this is the main reason her teaching contract was not renewed), and was fired for multiple instances of public intoxication outside of work. She was found by the Japanese Police severely intoxicated several times, with multiple self-inflicted cuts over her body, and attempted to fight the officers, once with a knife. She was taken to a psychiatric hospital, and returned to the United States shortly after. The sad thing is that I always wanted Chyna to turn things around, and return to wrestling, or at least conquer her demons. She never did. But please, let's keep it real. We both know that a HHH interview did not cause her to relapse. Even her family and close friends at the time admit as much.

so, a few things here... chyna's interview is very different from what is said here... she has said many times that steph went into the bathroom to talk to chyna and they went to the office where steph verbally attacked her and vince said as long as chyna can maintain her professionalism, there would be no issue. a week or so later, she got a fax saying she was no longer needed but she was still on contract. which prevented her from moving on from the wwf/wwe... it wasnt enough that she was the joke of the company cause everyone knew or was suspicious, but to be fired but kept on contract? it was all handled very poorly and it all contributed to her demise. it was like a domino effect. whats really cringe worthy is how (when she died) they all made bs statments about how they loved her and how she was amazing... why isnt she in the hall of fame yet? or nancy benoit? the wwe needs to get their sh*t together
