@planoman0935 Tacoma started delivering in Q4 2023 aside from iForce Max. Q1 2024 sales were down almost 60%. Some of that is also due to not delivering any iForce Max models. But just like the Tundra, only 10-15% of Tacoma buyers will opt for the iForce Max. So we will see what Q2 looks like, but all signs point to down 30-35%.

@@nismomike3182 very few 4th gen Tacomas delivered in 2023 plus those sales would have been booked for 2023. It was expected to be down 60% because it was a new gen and they had to retool plants etc. The Ranger was down over 80% of a much lower number for the same reason. The fact that you are not seeing huge deals for July 4 with 0% interest etc tell me they are on track at least here where I live. Unlike lil Kenny, I don’t see tons of Tacoma’s on the lots in DFW. The off roads and sports get sold fairly quickly here. Also Tacoma sold short of 300k in 2023 and Toyota sold almost 12 million vehicles. That’s 2.5% of their volume. Here’s the main issue with his answer…you could run a gladiator rubicon through this same thing in 4lo, at peak torque etc, and it would not break because it’s built up beefier. The issue shouldn’t be software to make the car less capable, it should be more robust mechanical components to withstand the situation, but they won’t do this because of cost.
