Thanks my brothers for this video. As a Nigerian that lived in Liberia for 18 months between 2004/2005 and a lover of Liberia for that matter, I can not but thank God Almighty for the tremendious transformation and development of Liberia. I lived 11 months in Buchanan and the rest 7 months in Monrovia. If you had visited Liberia this period i was there you wouldve been totally shocked and disappointed like the first day we landed at the now heavily transformed Robertsfield ( hope i remember the right name) Airport. However, much as i am happy with the many developments i have seen from many vlogs, i still pray that their children ŵho had travelled to the USA for donkey years ago should continue to look back and invest in their country rather than taking America to be their home. You can be an American citizen and still contribute to the deveopment of your country, God bless us all

I have been to Liberia right at the tail end of the civil war. Incredible amount of violence, destroyed economy and infrastructure. Samuel Doe ravaged the country and his enemies, including killing Christians. The people there went through desperate times with nearly half the people fleeing their country to escape the violence. I hope things are much better than now. I have many dear friends there who managed, by God’s grace, to survive those evil times.

Monrovia Liberia was the most cleanest city in Western Africa until her civil war. Half of those you see in Monrovia fled the civil War in the country side. This have made it overcrowded with limited waste management. Hopefully, it will improve as the years go by, and people move back to the rural areas. You had a good documentary until you put religion into it. Avoid giving people half of your free lence documentary.

This pain me when foreigners are doing this in our country, when this country was in war for 10 plus years. I feel like they are making fun out of Liberia. They need to get the full story before putting these stories on line. During the eighties this same street was very clear and cleaned, no one sell or make business on this street. These people are struggling no jobs, so this is the outcome. You Nigerians make so much money from this country and still are coming back to make more. Leave this to the Liberian people because they are the one to do these stories. Thank you, watching from the USA.
@FreddyPatekiАй бұрын
Don't misconstrue their intentions and motives, they aren't making fun of your country. Nigerians hold Librarians on a different pedestal especially due to the fact that we were directly involved in ending your civil war and lost lots of our service men, another thing is the relationship btw the people when millions or thousands of Liberians lived in Nigeria throughout the civil war era, i had Liberians as friends, one was accepted and taken in by my church, cos he was part of the boys that tiled the floor of the our Church building in Lagos, but he had no home, so he was sponsored to university level in Nigeria where he studied Computer Engineering at the Ahmadu Bello University, Kaduna state. Today he's a big boy in Liberia because he chose to return home and contribute to the development, owning a computer school etc. So many Liberian women were also married to Nigerian military personnels who served in Liberia during the war.

I’m glad u chose to visit Monrovia, Liberia. Unfortunately, in the video, u went to one of its congested streets Meclin St/Waterside area, where the day would have been busy with last minute purchases for food to clothing. U had an opportunity to ask for directions, n possibly use ur video time to capture important places as tourists, but besides a part of Broad Street, u decided to show rundown buildings. The whole video was disappointing. How did u arrive in the capital city. Obviously, u passed many improvements in the infrastructure of the outskirts leading to the city, but u totally ignored the beautiful scenes…if someone went to Nigeria n displayed only the rundown or under developed areas of ur city, would u have appreciated it. There could hv bn a mixture of the old structures, however, u could hv shown some pleasant n inviting parts too. Ur video literally is an example of how many caucasians portrayed African countries when they visited. I am currently living there, n that’s not all about Liberia…sorry 😢
