Not because a group of police officer's took money from you at a border the whole country is bad, your adventure title doesn't make sense 😂. The last time I went to Nigeria Asaba I almost got kidnapped doesn't mean the whole country are kidnappers. Watching from the Ivory Coast 🇨🇮

My country government don’t pay their employees consistently. Some times the police can go months without pay. No excuse for asking for “small thing”, but it is a ripple effect that impacts travelers.

My first time going to Ivory Coast 🇨🇮 do u know how much I spent at every little checkpoint in Ivory Coast in fact I ended giving additional money to the motorcycle guy to be clearing the rest of the checkpoints until I reached at my destination.

Change this stupid headline. Liberia can not be the worst country based on an isolated situation in Africa. Have you visited Somilia or Chad? Police corruption is common in Africa as Liberia is not alone or worse. Liberia is underdeveloped but peaceful and hospitable.

When I was traveling to Abidjan, I experienced the same exploitation at that border even though I am a Liberian citizen. Those untrained immigration officers do that regardless of nationality. Yet, I won't agree that it makes Liberia the worst country. It may be your first experience tho but I have heard the same complaints from travelers moving around other countries, particularly in West Africa.
