Greg, when you play single stroke roll , ilt's like powerful wind on toms and snare... it's absolutely beautiful, you're an awesome drummer... i could watch you playing drums hours and hours with always the same pleasure.

I try to work with your great method... and i realize it's made for me. More than Moeller, push pull, finger style, etc... it's difficult and i have a very very long way to do ! But thanks to you, i find myself with your fabulous teaching... also, my English is not good and it's not easy to understand absolutely all the things you say, however, i think i held the main part. Tons of thanks you, my friend !

ahhhh thats what i have dreamed of someone saying!!!!ya know its like henry taught students standards based on buddy rich's technique..i mean he was buddy's friend and they wrote a book together....buddy was like einstein of the drums ...even if you didn't like everything he did, i totally get that, but to forget these teachings of what henry gave me i think is insane///its like a lost art or something...moeller,push and pull, hey whatever works but the adler thing was like a diamond...buddys playing wasn't all a freak of nature..there was some real mechanics and physics going on, and henry got that and taught that!!!for me i just don't see other teachings with this much potential for a drummer!!

Interesting concept. I'm going to play around with this a bit and see how it fits into the finger and wrist action. A quick try out confirms what you are saying. Intriguing nugget of information...

Tony use the timpani position (not only) and you can look on the videos - he hit the skin with the maximum power he can - maybe a lot of drummer can go faster than him, but they don't hit as strong as Tony , and have half of his sound - the SOUND ! You dont have the sound ! only the timpani position can make this sound so loud .

@@ACLOCKWORKDRUMMER Sorry, I don't want to say you play badly ! I just talk about SOUND - - - - - - Tony has alway in mind the SOUND - and since "spring" to his big yellow drum, the difference with the over is the sound - and today, all the drummer have the same sound .😎
