0:52 This pattern sounds similar to the Rock n' Roll pattern in the Mayan Theatre set, so it's possible that Thomas used this 909 in the live set.

bro how did daft punk create such cool sounds with this drum machine

it's one of the most legendary drum machines of all time. it was and still is used in the vast majority of house/techno. so as much as i love daft punk, i dont think it's crazy that they made cool sounds with this drum machine, because many people have, before and after them.

Yeah. Probably he had 10 units to use. I have seen it in their live with daft punk and dijing videos. Is like the Jeff Mills from house. The touring he made was intensive been mainstream with homework. I think he stop DJing because hearing impairment. You know all those filters ultra too many nights too much higher frequencies. Paris superheroes. Love his work. Simple and fresh.

Recreating them isn't hard at all. The only tricky bit would be getting the nuances of global vs individual accents

I always thought he had maybe four 909s at most, but not ten haha i wonder what he needed 10 units for? Thomas was skilled in programming patterns of these as well as the TB-303. Apparently, he'd study the manuals front and back

The 909 has a good sound, no doubt, but 10 is a bit excessive, don't you think?
