the real (unofficial) Race Highlights of the Belgium Grand Prix 2021 | FORMULA 1

The Belgium Grand Prix 2021 certainly had the least highlights out of all the races in the 2021 Formula 1 season. Heavy rain is not unknown at the circuit of Spa Francorchamps but this year it prevented the actual Race from happening. The 20 cars of the 10 Formula 1 teams Mercedes, Red Bull, Ferrari, McLaren, Aston Martin, Alpine, Alpha Tauri, Alfa Romeo, Williams and Haas started the race behind the safety car, driven by Bernd Mayländer. But after a few laps under safety car conditions the race was stopped again and soon after canceled. George Russel profited the most as his second place on the grid due to an amazing Qualifying performance the day before ended up giving him his first Formula 1 podium. Less than 75% of the Grand Prix had been completed, so only half the points were awarded, but that was still a second place finish and the most points ever gained in a F1 race for George Russell.
Even though it provided us with lots of memes in the F1 community, many fans were sad or even unhappy that points had been awarded for what was not a proper race.
