The REAL Way to Enter DFU Mode on the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus (It is not the same as the iPhone 7!)

There are many fake instructions on how to put the iPhone 8 into DFU mode, but I have figured out how to put it into DFU mode the right way!

It has come to my attention that this is not the same on all devices. My phone was on 11.0. On 11.0.2 and higher, simply holding the power button for 1-2 seconds will work, rather than holding it for 5 seconds. It is not that easy, so keep trying!
For some reason, Apple decided to make it different from the iPhone 7. Oh how the simple days are gone...

My phone is fully drained out. Wont take charge in. The cable and everything works because I tried with my iPod Touch. If I connect the cable to the phone, the charging symbol doesnt show up.

You are supposed to do vol up, vol down and then power. Don't hold vol down when hitting the power. The emergency call 911 won't come up this way and it will shut your phone down.

Bare in mind you might have a black screen so it won't show dfu but on iTunes it will say it's in dfu mode this worked for me after realising I had a iPhone 8 lol

Make sure the phone is off first. Or just put it into recovery mode. Dfu is pointless nowadays. Press volume up, let go, press down, let go, then hold the power button. Just do that quickly. Keep holding the power button until iTunes/finder shows the phone.

Yes but the screen might be broken if the home button still vibrates. This won't help if that's the case

I completed 'Update' from the Recovery Screen, but it did not solve my issue - my iPhone8 screen is working (somewhat grainy with overlapping/ghost images) BUT the touchscreen is not. So, I'm unable to unlock the phone at all. The Home button does vibrate, but needs the touchscreen PIN before fingerprint can be activated again. Any suggestions would be most appreciated!!
