Can the power of money make Yaoyao a good DPS character? In this video, I experiment with 2 builds, an off field spread DPS damage dealer and an on field burst DPS Yaoyao. It is so good to see the whole community liking a four star character, I think the last time it happened was maybe Heizou or Yanfei. Yao Yao is truly amazing (Hopefully Hoyo releases more characters like her from now on) Edit: I didn't want to be so harsh to say the the last truly good and very viable character was Yanfei. I know Heizou ain't strong, I just said that maybe he was well received compared to other four stars we had recently and some before him.

Well her Original designe concept and spects were supposed to be in the original batch of characters. But Dendro was just not ready. So she was actually set down during the time they made characters like Bennet, Sucrose, Xingling, and Xingqui. She was a pre inazuma design.

She is complete at c0 honestly. I like using instructor on her and pairing her with aggravate keqing, or deepwood with Al Haitham. Or on-fielding her with kuki, xq, yelan. Her burst makes a ton of seeds. She is as strong a 4 star as it gets, honestly. Only really beaten by xq and bennett. She overtakes fischl imo and sucrose.

that's not how it works. if the boss has 30% resistance and a reduction of 170% will lower it to -70% as resistances below 0% are half as efficient.

@@sealemperor5727 no, for bosses the resistance get's hardcoded. So if you have things like the mechanical Array or, well, scaramouche, they hardcode their resistances in the special stances the bosses have. So in this case if stunned -170% res. If you further decrease the resistance with for example deepwood or VV, that amount get's halfed, since it is not a "feature" of the boss fight

Thanks for the showcase! I'm building yaoyao as a burst support with the catch and EOSF to use with bennett fischl and nahida. Currently waiting for the abyss reset but so far testing looks pretty good. I plan on just switching to nahida after yaoyao's burst time is up and using her on field for a bit before going back to fischl/bennett. Super fun team that feels surprisingly strong!

Optimally for her nuke team you're going to want c2r5 ttds deepwood nahida, c6r5 elegy tenacity sara, c6r5 key noblesse bennett. And the rotation would be: yaoyao e - sara e (elegy stack 1) - bennett hold e((c4 not backflip) to stack key passive)to q - nahida e to q (swap to yaoyao for ttds buff) - sara e to (final stack) to q - yaoyao q to e.

scaramouche's debuff is resistance shred. first phase: starts base 10% elemental and physical resistance with an extra +40% electro resistance. 2nd phase: base 30% elemental and physical resistance, additional +60% electro resistance, and +200% all res while shielded. then when stunned all res -170%. So yeah, big dmg.

I've been running the usual hyperbloom comp with Yaoyao, Alhaitham, Raiden and Xingqiu, all of them pretty much f2p tier with average artifacts and no banner weapons. For some reason I clear domains faster just not playing Alhaitham at all and just run with Yaoyao's burst, poke -> dash repeat to proc Xinqiu and Raiden + radishes, and she's just using a Favonius spear and 4pc dendro.

Dendro floor is so high that yes even with 4 star Dendro units, abyss can easily be 36 starred. When Yaoyao came out, I made a 4 star hyperbloom team for floor 12-2nd half with Kuki, Gorou, Barbara, Yaoyao and they beat the abyss. She’s truly one of the best 4 stars so far

I have been running similar experiments with my C6 deep woods yaoyao and a c3 TF Lisa with results plenty strong for open world bosses and below, freeing up Nahida Kuki and Raiden for other teams. The mega radishes make combat a "blast". Next up, grenadier squad with Raiden albedo Klee and yaoyao. See you in the emergency room!

As a giga-whale yourself, it's interesting to know now then you realized any character can be great with the correct team + ENOUGH MONEY lol This game actually teach different things to different group of people. For the F2P, it's patience is virtue. For the whales, it's money can solve everything. So ya, very contradicting lol Yes I agreed with some others that using nahida in the team is 100% not an accurate of showing the strength of the titled character. Just like people thought alhaitham did a lot of dmg but the dmg actually came from their nahida.

Al Haitham does a lot of dmg without nahida. Haitham with the dang umbrella sword, lvl 80 with 8/8/8 talents is stronger than my lvl 90 9/9/9 keqing using jade cutter. And his cr/cd is on 68/140 (600em) whereas my keqing is 70/230 (300em).

Shes been very helpful to my teams so I use her alot (shes c1). I tried using candace and layla and faruzan...but all 3 are so underwhelming and not that helpful as a flex unit/off field support. Shame that more of the liyue 4 stars end up being some of the best 4's in the game while most other characters are niche or require alot of investment and constellations to do their job

Scaramouche’s resistances while down are -140%, and calculating the bonus damage is quite simple. The equation for the damage multiplier is 1-(resistance)/2), (resistance is in decimals, ex: -70% =-.70) So with -140% resistance, (written as -1.40) you would be doing 1-(-.7)x multiplier resulting in a 1.7x increase in damage. The thing is "Don't Build Healer Yaoyao!" since the amount of heal is already insane with DPS build. So maximize her burst potential with DPS main/sub stats on support artifacts (e.g. Deepwood) while maintaining her heal even without HP% from artifacts.
