Somebody, probably more than one person, loved this mare. Through all her pain she had a kind sweet eye.

But obviously they didn't love her enough to send her to an auction to end up in the slaughter pipeline. So very sad 😢😢😢

I appreciate that you give these beautiful animals names despite knowing that the last act of kindness will be their best option. It shows that they aren't just a number.

Thank you for being there even when all you can do is relieve the suffering and prevent these horses from enduring that last agonizing ride to a brutal end in Mexico. Thank you for being the ones who do what these horses' owners should have instead of making a few bucks on the horses they used up. Thank you for your huge hearts and courage to keep fighting the good fight against ignorance and cruelty. Thank you Horse Plus. 💙

Sure hard to take such a sweet mare with so much going on. She received more attention from you gals than she probably has for some time. It's great to see your love for horses and their quality of life.

I'm so glad she didn't have to make that trip in the back of a truck down to Mexico. That would have been unbelievably painful for her. At least she got care and dignity before she was put down. Poor girl, it's a shame her owner didn't care enough to have this done at her local refuge.

When i see the abuse and neglect that these poor horses receive from their prior owners i get enraged. I thank God there are caring individuals like you all that help the poor babies. My hat is off to you all.

Being a prior horse owner, breaks my heart. Our horses lived a happy life and when the time came, we put them down. I miss them every day.

Diva was such a sweet kind mare and I know the Last Act of kindness was probably the best thing for her. How can somebody have a horse and love a horse and then treat them like that and throw them away is beyond me. My horses I have when it is their time to go, they cross the Rainbow Bridge with their head in my lap. And yes that is very hard to do but for all the love and work and pleasure they have given me they do not deserve to die in an auction house a slaughterhouse, they deserve to go with me by their side and with dignity. 💔🙏💕🐎🌹

Two of my horses, both Appy mares, lived to 28 and a gelding died young at 20 but all in the end had some kind of cancer. I heard from way back that Horse Plus has their own crematory on the property to cremate the horses. Is that true. Better then letting the bodies go to a rendering plant. Two of my horses were cremated and are buried at a friend's retirement horse property and Best Friends in Kanab, UT. RIP Diva.

I understand that Doctor Lydia 's decision is the best, but why don't give Diva the possibility of leaving at least a month in a peaceful place, together to other horses. Doc's attitude was a bit different
