@engineeringfacts : During winter wear a woolen Jerkin for hours and definitely the static electricity will be induced. I'm at Farmington, Michigan,USA.During winter , often I get static shock while touching the materials. Static charge will be induced more if temperature less than 2 degrees and dry environment.

I experienced high static electricity in my body when I visited PHOENIX, US. Air is very dry over there. You have to be extremely careful while touching the lift button, door handles or car door handles. I was affected the most and almost every day i got the shock of my life.... also they use carpet over there which doesn't allow to discharge. Constantly static charges build up. In summary i can easily light up the stove in my first attempt 🙂

It is true it will work, I once experienced static charge discharging way back in 2017. When I was in Qatar, I was using a thick wollen bedsheet while I stepped out of the bed for the support I touched the steel bed frame I felt like mild shock with a spark. I told this to my roommates but no one believed me.
