Conditions definitely weren't ideal for getting footage today, but I figured it's worth showing the reality of what it's like when you surf most days here in Southern California.

Haha I live right across the street from there, good ol Newland, me and the buddies will joke that we got this spot to ourselves most days. Right out front of Newland it can be a hit or miss but I’ll take it so I don’t have to paddle against 5 other people 😂 Nice work on the Vlog. I also do vlogs so if you ever want to surf and get some wide angle shots let me know🤙

I’ve noticed anytime I surf bad conditions, the next time it’s good I feel a lot of improvement because the bad cons force you to surf better. Also where are you planning to go to get barreled, only place I can think of in SoCal is the wedge but I just started so idrk

I've experienced the same, after this video's session, the following day was epic and I wish I filmed lol. Probably caught 30+ waves and had a few fun maneuvers that I haven't been able to do on the mid length until now. Definitely not going to the wedge, but I have a few spots that get hollow enough - had a chance a few weeks back where waves were 6-8 and it was barreling, but at that time I was really nervous in that size so only caught 1 wave and got pounded lol.

@ I just started ≈3 months ago when I moved to Hawaii for school and the bad days have made my shortboard progression so fast I hit my biggest drop in yesterday on 4-5 waves and it just made me want more
