PART 2 brings my attempt to get Paul who I spent the day filming with into rehab to attempt to remove his addiction to opioids. If we can remove the damaging thirst for heroin that Paul has, we can look to rebuild his life. Addicted on the streets brings another barrier to reintroducing Paul to living under four walls. We can’t just move the addiction we must treat it before we can see the light for Paul.

Well done Christian, for going and going back and not giving up. Even if nothing comes of this Paul knows someone cares enough to go out their way and it’s often these small gestures of kindness and mateship that get us through our worst times. Whilst you weren’t able to convince Paul to get the help he needs this time you didn’t let the setbacks we saw in the video deter you from what you set out to do despite how challenging the situation was and the mental and emotional stress you must have been under. This video was a difficult view mainly because I could empathise with the struggle you were facing in trying to convince Paul to interrupt the same unhealthy and unfulfilling cycle of addiction he’s found himself in and the internal struggle Paul was obviously having in 'the easy fix or the long road ahead' and so I can only imagine how tough it was to make. You’ve a lot to be proud of mate, keep fighting the good fight and thanks for sharing.

Thanks buddy, I really appreciate your comment. This was difficult but if we don't try for people and show that we care then the world seems a little empty. Hopefully I can make pauls a little more full. I'm going up again in 2 weeks to try a little more. Hopefully I find him. Thanks

Fair play for trying to understand what It is like to live on the streets in addiction but you still haven’t understood it really, I have been on the streets of Glasgow myself in the same position as yer man…. This is the second time I have commented on a video given the homeless money is not good for them the core of the problem is the addiction if someone I those circumstances can gt past that they can do it some have been on the street that long Christian they can't snap out that quick that life that looks horrible to you or me has the homeless in a tight grip it's hard too break free it's a shame. I lost both parents at 17 left Glasgow for better times down Leeds where I worked as a Duty Manager of a massive hotel,to promoted to Jersey for years and never looked back to. Be honest to many bad memories in all honesty. I had met my great girlfriend 30 years ago ( sadly died of Covid 2-years ago may 22 ) , I could have went back to Glasgow but it's a clip a total mess as the migrants have better houses than Glaswegians all from non-war countries. I love where I live good people good life roofing now over 25+ years and even had a club in Glasgow before leaving I sold which set me right-up mainly for life , it's not worth trying to help homeless poor people they don't want to change as the rehabs got all SHUT BY GOVERNMENT FUNDERS . Church groups do rehabs but only for drinkers when there's more drugs in the city & tablets to mix together that good honest people cannot snap outta . Sadly you tried but people need the mindset to want to change or get a placement in rehabs that don't even happen there's nowt for homeless but drugs to numb there memories & sit begging 🙏🏼 the guy on the bike has an agenda with that wee lass like most are on the game nightly as there so called boyfriends feed off there money as they all go to Possilpark to get there gear a stone throw from that town and for them it's easier to beg as Glasgow people have massive hearts as no one even bothers going into town due to the closure of so many of the best areas. Our own club pulled 40k a week back in 1992 that end of sauchiehall street is gone all shut Doon & dead all for LET , you tried that's the main thing & GOD BLESS 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼CLASS CHAP ITS BEEN LIKE THIS FOR DECADES APON DECADES DONT WORRY THERE SAFE CHRISTIAN STRONG MINDED PEOPLE WHO DEAL WITH DAY TO DAY HOMELESSNESS YIR A STAR 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🍀🍀🍀
