You should cover VH1's "You're Cut Off" about spoiled grown women learning to take basic care of themselves after being cut off by their families. They were tricked into thinking it was an entirely different show before being forced to stay in a house together if they wanted their millions worth of inheritance (or whatever they had in their bank accounts) back. Every episode felt like an absolute fever dream.

Oh my god Nick??? I've always had this memory of a TV show making girls eat bananas and tell them to be sexy then sl*t shaming them straight after, whilst having stiffies in their trousers. For the longest time I thought it was a fever dream. Somehow that scene got stuck in the foundations of my brain as a young teen. It was almost like a cautionary tale. "Men will want you to be a sexual being, but be careful cause after they get what they want from you, they will also shame you for it, and the rest of the world will laugh."

saw 6 is honestly a massive guilty pleasure. The main guy being tested is an insurance ceo and he's being tested specifically because his policy judges basically who lives or dies (based on coverage) and had a tendency to prefer young, healthy men. it forces the ceo to go through tests based on the policy but actually seeing the deaths first hand. It's hammy, over the top, doesn't really say anything deep but instead showcases the ugliness of insurance policies, and I love every crazy second of it. It very badly tries to weave the rest of the saw plotline into the whole thing but the editing makes it amazing in a way I cannot describe you'd just need to see it. 10/10 would recommend

Ro talked about it recently on I think Trisha Paytas's podcast. She said it was absolutely awful living conditions in a freezing cold warehouse with a prison style toilet and tub out in the open with cameras on them and film crew watching, they rarely got actual food, they were not told to bring coats or sweaters in the packing list. They were isolated in hotel rooms alone for a few weeks before that and she had a hard time not having any human contact or contact with her family. So she was extremely done before the challenges even started She said they edited things in very dishonest ways as well. She was first to go in 2/4 challenges, which is a big disadvantage, but was not portrayed that way. They used B roll footage to make her look like she was being dismissive of a challenge and like ugh are we done yet. They cut out pretty much everything from her challenges. Production tried to get her drunk and talk badly about the other girls and she wouldn't, so she thinks they wanted to get rid of her, but she couldn't leave on her own because she was afraid of legal action for breach of contract

And I was always sure that they picked specific "types" of contestants in both seasons with specific conflicts as well (like "mean girl" Michele / Tai, "homely girl" Lindsay / Chrisitine, "name calling gril" Lina / Alison, "Joker" Jessica / Sierra etc), which is kinda lazy. And yes, shoehorning racism, xenophobia and homophobia was, ehm, reeeally unnecessary (at least I hope they forced the girls say that stuff and it was only scripted). If you want drama bc the format requires some, have some boundaries. BTW fun fact about season one: LIna who at some point was spilling poison on Tanedra gave her a small part in her screenwiting / directing debut Anita Ho.

I was low key obsessed with this show and it has season 2 as well. Watching your video made think of this reality tv show competition called He’s a lady and I think clip breakdown and your commentary would be amazing

Your neon sign looks so good, I genuinely keep thinking it's a post-production effect added in because it looks so crisp and colorful! Edit: also I never did see the Saw films, but I've seen timelines of the events and stuff like that (I can't watch horror but I'm fascinated by it) and the particular KZbinr I watched clearly thought this show winner was great. She comes back in Saw 7, I think, and gets a great moment in a support group scene with previous Saw trap survivors and it's become a pretty iconic moment in the franchise and I'm just happy for her 😊

CAITLIN'S WAY! That show was amazing. My fav of several kids shows with odd romantic tension between actors playing characters who are related. I am glad the actress is doing okay, work-wise.

you keep calling her TeAndra but it's definitely Tenedra (idk how she pronounces it) unless they got it wrong on the info screen of the show or she changed it later, just wanted to point it out since you were praising her so much i felt knowing her correct name is definitely important.
