Vamps act in secret. Mostly. Humans rarely " see them", but Magneto Taking Army bases, sinking nuclear submarines, and " Pulsing" the World, all while Stating " We are the Next Step"? Noted 😅 Apocalypse having a Skyscraper size Ship above Manhattan, And empowering " Agents" to nearly Nuke New York(Sleeper) or " Earthquake " the East coast( Moses Magnum) Both Huge Avenger cases that were very Public. Mutants are Lucky they Haven't been exterminated.

Me too, man. I wasn't happy at all to see Blade acting imo so out of character as to drink Drac's Blood, wield Lucifer's sword...but given the threat he faced? I could sorta kinda maybe see him doing that stuff due to his extreme desire to utterly eradicate all vampiric threats and his long known "go it alone super solo" inclinations combined with his general unwillingness to reach out for help or really associate with other Marvel heroes in general. I thought that was permanently removed via Jason Aaron's spectacular handling of the character, and the smooth way his recent solo series is handling that. But what do I know anyway, right?

It's a clone(has to be) Deacon Frost tried to clone Blade for year's with Hannibal King help but clones sometimes just didn't work or came out as natural Full Vampires but that plot is from the 1980's I think

To be fair Wanda has been trying to make amends for almost 20 years. We’ve seen the mutants more or less tell her she’s not deserving of repentance and atonement but Wanda kept trying and it wasn’t until she created an afterlife for every mutant in existence to come back into the physical world that they forgave her.

You know what's crazy? Remember the Darkhold comics? With Iron Man, Spider-man, Black Bolt, Blade and Wasp? This has the makings of Darkhold Blade taking over the world. Also if Blade's most recent adventure with the powers he learned how to use from Dracula? It feels like a great way to write him as a villain

oh good someone else remembers blade going nuts in the 90's , but with the epoch and atlantean referances it brings to mind another 90's incident the resurection of Varnae by doctor strange who then manipluted the mentally unstable blade and the other Nightstalkers into fighting him as Strange was to scared to do it himself, that stab in the back could be payback from either or both of them

What I also found wild is that Blade considers Wanda wouldn't have it in her to go genocidal on the vampires but Strange would... despite Wanda being the one who hit the "No more mutants!" in G major.

extenuating circumstances. She had gone through MULTIPLE nervous breakdowns when she did that, and was not in her right mind. Strange IS in his right mind...and would absolutely do it. Again. until he got all angsty about his dead brother and undid his own spell like a rank, moronic amateur. the hilarious part of this is it is taking the whole "vampires are people too" BS (and it IS BS) and combining it with his previous "defeat all the evil magical creatures in the world by eating all magic" rampage. Is he being manipulated by outside forces or not? I honestly don't care anymore. my money is on Cthon though. Vampirism in marvel IS a Cthonic virus. the darkhold and Cthon IS currently held captive in the scarlet witch. And the ONE man that could possible cobble together an alternate verison of the Montesei formula has been taken off the table. solution? free the Darkhold. oh, and who previously made a deal with the darkhold, and technicly owes his soul to Cthon ? why, Blade of course. And Blade was NEVER a 'good guy" he has ALWAYS been a fanatic. this whole stint with him in Avengers has been him acting agaisnt type, and this is actually a GOOD reason why. Side note: Blade turning "good guy" during the 90s Midnight Sons era was specificly due to Dr. Strange implanting a post hypnotic suggestion in Blade when he was locked up in a mental asylum because he was fixated on killing vampires..and all the vampires were GONE at the time. So strange implanted a mental suggestion that t "there are worse things in the night than Vampires" But he was still loony tunes and hyper fixated on his mission...which led to him making a deal with the Darkhold.

So, with this being just issue #1 I don't read too much into Blade's seeming villainy (plus his comments to Miles makes me believe there is something else being stealthily achieved while Blade "plays" the villain). He may simply need to stall Strange and Wanda right now and still not truly be behind this event fully. That said, IF he is off his rocker, I hope one or more of those reasons actually apply (e.g., Adanna corruption, Vlad's blood corruption, possession by Victor Strange who recently got free of Stephen's seal), because the "Well, I had good reasons to do this bad thing, but I'm good again now." feels lame when we look back at how many lives lost a stint at villainy adds up to, just for the hero turned villain to just turn right back around and play Avenger again 3 months later.

Which I get, since that’s also a crucial part of what’s made Blade who he is and it’s not automatically evil and Blade’s shown seemingly shown no appreciation or respect for it.

T'Challa and Wakanda would not be vulnerable to vampires. The first and mightiest vampires, plus many versions of vampires that have different powers which are the first of these superpowered type vampires we see in Blood Coven Blood Hunt etc were in Alkebulan miscalled Africa first. As such? Wakanda would have long been the first human nation aware of and proof against vampires, zombies, werewolves etc before any other hunan nation. Long before Isipho miscalled Vibranium became their thing, Wakanda would have made their land a place that zero supernatural, and most Interdimensional or cosmic, threats could enter. That's also a good reason for and explanation of The Marvel Zombies not being able to overtake Wakanda. Furthermore, Black Panthers' habit/uniform, and every member of The Panther Religion including the higher ranking literal Order of The Panther God which includes but isn't limited to: Ingwe Emhlophe, Silver Leopard miscalled White Tiger [ really stupid of them to use that name for Casper Cole because there are no Tigers in Alkebulan miscalled Africa; his title and rank should be Silver Leopard ], Ingwenkala Ibomvu [ Red Cheetah ], Isipho seNgonyama [ Lion's Gift/Golden Lion ], and of course Damisa Sarka...The Black Panther. All of these members have powerful protections of every kind. Proof against possession, mind reading, spiritual compulsion/domination, being "turned" by any supernatural power, etc. Sekhmet, Bast, Koy Bomba, and all the other "feline" type gods of Alkebulan hunt and kill supernatural threats as part of their whole "thing" for existence. Khonshu was known to aid in this, as "travelers by night" were often beset by supernatural terrors. And that's BEFORE you get to the hundreds of wild powerful sorcerers, wizards n stuff led by Mendinao, Zawaviri, etc. Myself? I'd rather see The Panther Order upper echelons dominated by the red black green and gold of Zote Alkebulan miscalled Pan African thought, but that's me. And maybe it IS. Remember these parts of Panther lore have never been explored, explained, modernized and rectified. Sure wish Marvel would get an actually GOOD writer on BP. Like Geoffrey aka Redjack. Allllllll of their writers SUCKED since Hudlin and Liss left. Coates and his crew? Were the ABSOLUTE WORST things to happen to T'Challa EVER. I'll prolly write a fanfic about The Order of The Panther God... ...regardless? My manz Jed MacKay n Co are playin T'Challa WEAK on this. And that's a shame because a truly formidable max'd out showing by the heroes make the villains way more formidable if they're winning anyway. Thor's Mjolnir is also a divine holy weapon capable of utterly destroying the body and soul of Dracula with one hit, as their battle and discussion in Thor's series in the 1980's made clear. Thor could have Holy Lightning Stormed the lot of The Blood Coven...or at least tried and have it signally fail, to the surprise of all, thus making The Blood Coven even scarier. You know who else would be CRAZY EFFECTIVE against these threats? His main bag of gitdown, even more than Clea or Strange? Nganga Vodun miscalled Doctor Voodoo. He'd be pimp slappin the teeth outta all these vampires.

Since all the Dark Force wielding characters were affected, there was no sight of Black Mamba of The Serpent Society (now known as Serpent Solutions) (Black Mamba can manifest the Dark Force in the form of a loved one of the person she is fighting against {ie if she is fighting Havok she can manipulate the Dark Force to take the form of Polaris or Madeleine Pryor, and then said Dark Force constricts the person)

Don't read that much into it. Marvel has always done some seemingly counterintuitive things around the time some of their movies were coming out, including having Sersi die around Eternals' time; Ironman in a coma around one of his releases - spun out of opposing Captain Marvel in a Civil War; Black Panther being enemy of the state/world at the height of his popularity, etc. Ultimately, this turn will be wrapped up and he'll be onto his next development by the time Blade even comes out.
