I am so pissed off! I have been diving in the Mediterranesn for some years and decided to get the proper PADi- on visiting a local Scuba school here in Cornwall, I was told that if you are over 50, you can't learn to dive anylonger. What a sad nanny state England has become. I will book another holiday to Rhodes and do the PADI over there - up yours UK!

Don't do PADI then, do a proper course like BSAC ;)

reason is this to see how shity the sea in britain is...
@maxwilliams10607 жыл бұрын
It isn't the sea silly, you can see it's Stony Cove an old stone quarry from the beginning. The Sea in the UK has the cleanest water rating compared to most developed countries.

@@maxwilliams1060 I wouldn't go that far. I lived on the Isle of Wight for a long time and the local sewerage systems were pretty awful in terms of water quality, but overall the UK waters are pretty good - and we've got seals. It doesn't get much better than seals :)

@@lmlmd2714 sewage dont go in to the sea in the uk it goes to sewage plants to get cleaned rain water goes straight in to the sea

@@DEVINE.IMAGE. Surfers Against Sewage don't agree. The UK has literally hundreds of "emergency" combined sewer outfalls directly onto our beaches. They were designed for severe storm overflows only, but due to under investment in the system, many of them now operate almost literally every day, even during periods when it's been completely dry, as the treatment systems haven't been updated to take account of new housing, or even just had neglected maintenance which actually reduced their nameplate capacity. These are rainwater outfalls, they are *combined* sewage and rain. The UK doesn't have fully segregated systems as we don't generally harvest direct rainfall - and that wasn't even a consideration back when most of our systems were built.
