Oof I agree. I’ve been a Cube stan since 2009 and while they are extremely good at casting talent and training them (especially in terms of vocals and songwriting), they are pretty bad at managing their artists. They were good with Beast and 4minute until like mid-end of 2011 and then they continued to struggle. Like Btob took years to get big despite their monstrous vocal talent. CLC is also crazy talented but never got proper promotions since they were debuted when Cube was struggling. Pentagon could have been huge after “Shine” but when it came out Edawn was dating HyunA, they completely botched how they handled that and Pentagon has been struggling ever since which is a shame because my god are they talented. They’ve been doing well with (G)I-dle so far but I don’t have huge expectations of Cube’s abilities in promotions so...

I imagine in the case of BTS which has so many members who compose and produce their own material, that part of the reason for liking G-Idle is that the fact they are the rare girl group that is self-produced and self-composed. Singer-songwriters tend to respect others in their fraternity.

Cube entertainment is a great company and even teaches their artists to write and produce their own music even in their trainee days and lets them debut with their own self made songs. No company has done that. Only cube has, cube entertainment gives their artists a lot a lot of freedom infact they are even known as a company that lets their artists write and produce their own music. Cube lets their artists comeback with title tracks that are written and produced by their artists even since DEBUT which no other company allows. But the downside of cube is the god damn MANAGEMENT

TOTALLY agree with you. When it comes to training and giving creative freedom to their artist, CUBE is undeniably one of the best. Hence, the amount of SUPER DUPER talented artist that they have produce. HOWEVER, they're really terrible management wise! Totally wasting the many talented artist that they had debuted. Making them work so hard and goes down the drain when those artist no longer made any income to the company. Literally just throw them to the side to survive on their own.
