Funny thing happened to me and I don't know if other people are experiencing the same thing. With the new Jagex accounts it links all accounts made with that email address. So if I created an account 20 years ago using that email, it will appear on that Jagex linked account. Maybe I'm a one off, or maybe more people are experiencing the same as me. All I know is that I recovered 3 old accounts that I completely forgot I had.

Wouldn’t fix anything. People will still put them in for their price. Same with RS3. The reason why the price is going down is from people dumping into the GE and pressing -5%, -5% -5%. Then the next person tries to sell his he has to do -20%. It’s a battle to sell the item.

Tbh the unspoken main reason is because they really cracked down on the RWT market this year according to a lot of credible sources I personally know. There’s just not enough reason for them to be that high anymore since there’s no third market incentives. Surprised nobody has commented this yet.

One thing I'd like to add, a lot of the "baby rares" are plummeting like the modern rares and the non-wearable classic rares. Take for instance the Easter egg, it used to be ~2b, now its right around 600m, people are dumping them to get whatever cash they had in them out so they can have more gp to spend on Necromancy, higher value rares, etc.

Alot of people also quitting the game and just want to hold cash stack too probably. It's an old game that's close to a quarter century old. People usually stop playing games after 1-2 years so 20+ years is a no-brainer that 90% of the original community would be gone by then

You have to put into affect that with higher rares getting put into the g.e that is more of an impact now on g.e tax which is now taking more gp out of the game than we are bringing into the game so not only rares but so many things are coming down in prices currently.

I think “max cash” ie 32bit ie. (1*2)^31 is even more special now since I saw the jagex solution to “max cash”. I was hoping jagex solution would ease my concerns about the 2038 glitch, but no. Jagex couldn’t solve it. The new “max cash” is limited to cash- which shouldn’t be the case if they had solved the problem ie. we can’t have 1t iron ores. Max cash still applies to some items. Jagex did a work around the 32bit problem. I think we have “two gp registries” no…. One for (1+2)^32 ie max cash, and one to count how many max cashes we have, another (1+2)^32 but limited to 1,000,000 entries (they might have made one new registry to count 21 items up to the new max cash, who knows). We still crashing in 2038.

As someone who put years into this game. Like I actively played from classic to the new osrs. And like actively actively played, and tbh, I've never been so happy that I quit a year ago. Constantly worrying about bring hacked, stressing over a video game and a bank account, it's just not worth it. And I say that because for 12 years I had no issues with my email or password. It was only for rs and never used anywhere else. But somehow a year ago my account was hacked, I didn't receive an email, My email itself showed no logins from any other locations, and my bank account pin was never removed or disabled when I got back onto the account. So somehow in a matter of 6 hours, My account lost 8.9B. And somehow they did it without accessing my email, and somehow they figured out a 4 digit pin combo. And as cliche as it sound personally it feels like a staff member that had access to that info. Especially considering it was 6 hour time frame and again the email used showed no other log ins or weird password reset emails. And before someone says a key logger I did numerous scans on my pc after and no weird programs. So to me I'm just glad I quit. But I'm gonna be honest. The games dying lol. That's what it most likely is. The people who played are getting older and loosing interest in the same boring game. Last major update I saw was raids 3 which looked like shit. And I haven't seen anything game breaking as far as updates since then. Probably why people are leaving
