Makes no sense. They have completed dropped it a month or two from release. There was only a couple prayers there that needed removed or adjusted. Many of the prayers in that book reminded me of pre-eoc prayer, which was awesome. I made a rant about it also while dying from a cold. So what? We get just rings now....jeez....great....thanks.

the rings is basically what berserker ring (i) is to berserker ring, so kinda pointless and not a worthwhile undertaking for most. oh! I get to farm this boss for a chance at getting the BiS ring that is only marginally better, sorry but that's not a good enough reason to add a new grandmaster quest, it NEEDS something impactful to the game, doesn't need to be impactfull in 2-3 years, but it NEEDS to be impactful now.

I kinda feel bad for OSRS community sometimes because the game never really changes. It's nice to be a casual in that respect because I don't have to play catchup after I take a break, but it never seems like there's exciting new content to get me back into it, and meanwhile all the prices of gear (and thus PvM drops) are always dropping

The only reason I miss those prayers passing is that I leveled and quested my 5th acc to be dt2 ready. But yep, I prefer no more universal powercreep on all weapons for cheap (quest and scroll).

Before making asinine assumptions like “the high level community doesn’t want the prayers“ you might want to do some research because it’s the exact opposite, they are the ones who want the prayers, and the rest of the community are the ones that’s on the fence for the most part. The high-level community has completed the majority of the game, so they are looking for something new to spice it up, regular players still have enough content to keep them busy to where they don’t want the prayers unless they come out perfect and are absolutely necessary, etc.

most people don't care if something is OP. they just want to clear the content, be it that some newer content makes the older content easier to do or not. now the only thing that we know of atleast we'll get from completing DT2 is basically the chance of getting a new upgrade ring ... woo! yay! /s you don't get that from the actual quest, just the chance at doing so.

because the rings themselves are NOT a quest reward. that's saying that Ava's accumulator is a quest reward for completing DS2, it isn't. or completing the quest required to enter ToB's reward is the scythe. they're not a reward, you still gotta farm them later to get the actual ring, the "reward" is a grind for an item, not really a reward concidering you went through a quest.

the fact is that it was polled and explained as an alternative prayer book to be used in certain scenarios, but instead they made a new meta that would be necessary everywhere. glad it got stopped because its just the same prayer book with increased dps. hopefully they add some of the more niche prayers to the original book after completion of the quest, some of them were pretty good ideas.

Theyre better off not adding it because the max hits will be become too high to add anymore armour and weapon upgrades. Theyre better off adding more higher tier armour and weapon upgrades from new raid bosses which will add more content to the game. The new prayer book essentially removes new potential pvm content because the game will already be power crept through the roof.
