Absolutely! There is no reason not to gig most vintage drums. They sound great, they are lightweight, and they were made to be gigged. Thank you for advocating for these drums to be gigged.

Hey boss, love love love the setup. I use those same stands. I have for over a decade. Those are not dw7000. Those are dw6000 or dw6000cp. Those are the original 6000’s. The shorter legged versions are dw6000ul (ul= ultra light). I like the ultra light for my snare. The shorter legs help stay out the way. But I’m definitely going to buy the Gibraltar snare stands soon.

Thanks for another great video. All my stuff is vintage, well almost all. Right now in a classic rock band, and my 2 sets with 20" bass drums just aren't right for the music, so I use the sets that have 22's.

I gig my ‘57 WFLs that I restored regularly. Getting ready to gig a set of orphan ‘60s and ‘70s Ludwigs tonight for the first time. Three different finishes, but I think they look cool together. Aged WMP rack, black oyster kick and chrome over Vistalite floor tom.

Right on, i put together a 12,13,16,18,22 mid 60’s and i wrapped it in purple sparkle. Although i’ve been wanting to put together a jellybean set.

Si quieres que duren muchos años sonando bien y sin capas despegadas del casco es importante evitar exponerlos directamente al sol. Llevo más de 15 años usando tambores vintage y ahora empiezo a tener curiosidad por un set de gama alta, pero no para reemplazar los vintage. En cuanto el hardware discrepo. Esos flat base que tienes dw no aguantan años. Tengo algunos herrajes WFL, Ludwig y Premier que son eternos.

Gracias por la informacion. Normalmente nunca dejo la bateria en el sol pero para hacer el video lo tube que sacar y ponerlo afuera. Yo he tenido mucha suerte con los flat stands de DW pero yo no pego muy duro. Otra ves gracias por el mensaje brother

Why wouldn't anyone want to gig a vintage kit? If they were good enough for Buddy and Max, then they're good enough. I always use vintage drums and hardware. I'll take my Camco pedal over any DW pedal. Not that I hate modern stuff. I love everything drums.

That’s exactly how i feel about it as well. I love the way my speedking feels. I’ve had the sonor jojo mayer pedal, the DW 5000 pedal but i always come back to the speedking
