Jennings Lang went on be a producer and executive producer at Universal, where he greenlit "Charley Varrick" and "Slaughterhouse Five", but was also responsible for all those awful "Airport" sequels. He also is responsible for bringing "Sensurround" to theaters, starting with "Earthquake". So, I have mixed feelings about him surviving being shot in the groin. On the one hand, he was responisible for one of the classics of 70's Noir (Varrick), but then again .... "The Sting:II"?
