I ♥ The Red Green Show! I have an autographed picture of Steve Smith (Red Green), Patrick McKenna (Harold Green), Rick Green (Bill Smith), Bob Bainborough (Dalton Humphrey), Peter Keleghan (Ranger Gord), and Wayne Robson (Mike Hamar). I got it when I saw them live on the "Duct Tape Forever" tour! \

tdpack2003 Now Mike Hamar is dead, so is his son who was a guest on the show a couple times. He killed himself on Christmas Day 2016. R.I.P Robsons.

The Red Green show was one of those shows that got better over time. Not like modern shows where all the resources go to the pilot and first season, then everyone gets lazy.

One problem I have with the show is that they did away with the Season readings after the first couple of seasons. I'd argue that they made for some of the funniest parts of the show; simple, effective one-liners masquerading as poetry or novel extracts. I wish they'd kept them in the whole time.

The music reminds me of the 90's even though I wasn't really a TV person, ( as most of the people were), so I never watched this show till a couple years ago and I keep coming back to watch it from time to time. But How am I immediately transported to the 90's by the music, ( could I have already watched some of the show in hotels or other places we used to stay in when we were traveling?!..., I really don't know, but I know for sure that the music is very familiar...even more towards " nostalgic familiar " ).

The beauty of this show is that the characters are defined. Harold is supposed to be a jerk. Mike is an excon. Bill is a disaster waiting to happen.
