I actually *did* what Hap was going on about as to O2 intake in high altitudes. I went up Mt. Fuji in Japan. 12,388 feet. Ugh. Got passed up at one point by a Swiss guy jogging up. He was smoking. The wind is pretty bad up there, and I'm from FLORIDA. I actually *had* the idea to face into the wind open as wide as possible, and inhale. It kinda worked, too.

@@only257 redgreen.fandom.com/wiki/The_Splinter_Lodge STEVE SMITH: The guy who plays Dalton Humphrey, a gentleman named Bob Bainborough, a real funny guy, he does some of the writing for the show as well. And I notice a real pattern in his writing. He always writes about a guy going away and spending a lot of time alone in a small space. The Handyman Corner in this episode is the one where we turn a freezer into a den, written by Bob Bainborough. I can show you 25 scripts from Bob, all on the same theme. Scary, huh?

Gotta like the John Deere model "M" tractor. Of course I wouldn't think that Mr. Green would prefer green, but rather a Canadian tractor like a Massey-Harris.

Some may say Possum Lodge is a magical place, like Xanadu and Shangri-La. But I'd say it's more like Neverland: A fantasy world of dreams and danger, where no one ever matures.

Wouldn't it be lovely if the CBC wrote and then aired an episode during the "Red Green Show" series whereby the 2 halves which was fomerly only 1 lodge after the splinter then managed somehow to all find a way to say goodbye to da big boss telling them to splinter more without causing any resentment at among the 2 halves? After around 400 years or so of trying to sell a plan to do so?

Wouldn’t surprise me if they did that a lot with the actors getting the topic and allowing them to go with what they want so long as it’s within standards...the reactions from Red and Harold tell the tale, most of the time they are fighting laughs

Note : The following is not expert advice . If you take it as such I am not liable . It is merely my opinion, some reading and my own subjective experience . Do your own research and talk to outdoor experts . Seriously : If you perspire , get soaked by wet snow or rain , in the winter outdoors(even at 50 degrees F / 10 degrees celsius ) and you didn't know that polyester (or some synthetic) came back a long time ago , you just might be dead by now . Those wet cotton thermal underwear take the heat right out of you , that is called hypothermia . And stay away from down coats and vests . when down gets wet(even from your own perspiration ) it is useless . You want polyfill or holifill in a coat or vest . Another good alternative to synthetic long underwear is wool . Merino wool if you get the itchies from the scratchy type wool . Get boots a size or two bigger . you can fit in it several layers of bulky wool and or synthetic socks . If your boots are too tight , you pinch off blood flow, can't wiggle your toes and set yourself up for frostnip or worse frost bite . My first bout of hypothermia came upon me when I was cross country skiing decades ago . It got warm and was around 50 F/10 C . I was shivering but then i became clumsy , confused , shivering like a mouse . For some reason, it seemed almost like instinct but probably because i was shivering so bad , I stripped from my waist up . I took that soaked stupid long sleeve thermal undershirt off , squeezed the water out , put it in my small backpack . Then put the Shetland Wool Sweater right on top of my skin and my unlined pine green unlined wind resistant Woolrich shell parka over that . I felt better quite fast but that is not always the case with hypothermia . It might take longer .

Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas starred in Strange Brew. The guy in the orange jump suit is Graham Greene who was nominated for an Oscar for role in Dances with Wolves. He plays demolitions expert Edgar K B Montrose. He is a full blooded Oneida. KB stands for Ka Boom.
