You’ve got to bezel set that 8.6 stone. Bad enough to loose carats but you could potentially open up further pockets on the other side while taking it in. Just take a picture of the stone outside the bezel. I know you don’t sell your stones but on the off chance it was sold, it’s an easier sale if the buyer is deciding to recut and reset the stone if you have a picture before setting. It also shows it’s a solid stone. Enjoy the cruise 🚢

Hard to find good rough. My largest Australian cut came from a nobby I bought off Ebay. It didn't look like much when I bought it but it was cheap and my thought was to practice cutting with it. I found color inside and got a 7.15 gem out of it. That's my best so far.
