Congratulations to all the ladies! Wow! Such beautiful work - each having it's own unique voice. It would have been a tough one to judge indeed. It was so close! Hats off to Ritika. She had the tallest mountain to climb and did it beautifully! Simply stunning. In the future, if we can ask the director, camera person or editor to show us the full painting (straight on) with a slow scan, so we can see the creations in their entirety... That would be great.xo As an idea - in the Portrait Artist of the Year tv show, they have a fixed camera above the artist and we're shown a quick time lapse capture of the artist's process - it's great to watch, and would love to see this incorporated here if you can in the future (yes, logistically it might be a challenge - but it really adds to the experience as a viewer) Love the show! Love the format... And truly love how every woman bonded with each other. So wonderful to see. ❤

I totally agree that it would have been SO nice to see each painting straight on for more than a flash of a second! They put so much of their hearts, minds and souls into these paintings. If there were even an offshoot video that gave more of the background and the painting process I would watch it all!

I came across Milan Art on KZbin and I have flowed this series and watched your individual casts. I am about to mention a critique in a positive way. All the judges and the judges you brought in for the redemption challenge in this episode are connected either through your family or your courses and competitions. I would ask that if you are going to judge these artists bring in people that are seperate from your teachings that bring their expertise to the table as well. I understand what you are doing, in this stage of your business going global as you are, you need other experts now to further credibility, otherwise it's just what you think and I insular.

Wow. That really felt like redemption. Such beautiful art, great show production, meaningful insights by judges. What a great show!
@janinafisher10111 ай бұрын
Listening to all of these women share their story it is clear that they have all won some big challenges within themselves that they will take forward into their lives. To me this is the biggest win of them all. Art is subjective, and we are drawn to paintings that appeal to our own inner story. While the judges made their choice, from the beginning Tanya Johnson's painting really drew me in powerfully, and I also loved Naomi's. Either one I would hang in my own home. Each work was powerful in its own way, and it has been an interesting process seeing each artist's journey and hear about their evolution. This competition took place a couple of years ago, and I am sure that what they learned has moved forward with them and impacted their lives. Looking forward to the finale!

congrats to nicolette!! her painting was beautiful! i’m so excited to see the final three paintings. i know there have been a lot of comments with feedback regarding this season (which might just be because the audience has expanded via youtube) but i thought i would share a few thoughts. i have watched the first two seasons of the outstanding artist multiple times and absolutely loved them! i thought season 2 was a great progression from season 1. this season i have seen many great paintings and really like all of the contestants. however, i don’t feel like i’ve gotten a feel for their personalities in the same way i did in previous seasons. i also wish there were more close ups on the art throughout the painting process, explanations of the choices the artists are making, struggles they’re having, and so on. having this season in greece led to amazing views and places to paint, but i do think in doing so this led to this season feeling less personal. also, while i understand that it is a competition and you want to push the artists out of their comfort zones, i think having each session outside in the elements did not allow the art to shine as it should or for the artists to create their best work. in this redemption challenge episode when everyone came back there were so many i barely knew, whereas in season 2 having everyone involved in mini challenges each week allowed me to become invested in everyone’s art journey even if they weren’t still in the competition. this was only shown further when you had previous contestants show up as judges and i was so excited to see them! i really felt like i got to know everyone and was excited to follow along on their painting journeys after the previous seasons ended, in a way i don’t feel quite as strongly this time around - even though i do like the women and think they have made beautiful work. the lack of investment i feel may also be because the previous seasons were longer and there were more challenges and more time to get to know everyone. i understand that that may not be possible and you had to scale down in episodes in order to scale up in production. but i would love to see a happy medium - bringing back the mini challenges perhaps. i enjoyed those so much previously. i hope this is taken as constructive because i did enjoy this season and i hope to see many more seasons in the future. :)

Again, poor editing in that the work of the artist wasn’t shown each time you interviewed them. And there was no showing of the works at the end. Just a bunch of judges standing in the way. There should be a detailed opportunity to look at each work-after all this is what the show is about. Throughout the episodes, when the artists were called up for potential elimination, the piece of each artist should be shown with the artist.

My choice too. I understand that the judges are judging from different standards - they can't just judge based on what speaks to them because that is so subjective, and they follow certain rules - but oh my, Tanya's really grabbed hold of me from the first glimpse and after that it stayed number one for me, even though many of the others were appealing and or well executed or had enormous potential.

I love the idea of this series, which is why I keep coming back (I love Landscape / Portrait Artist of the Year, which has been going for many season now) but the production and editing really needs to be upped. It's an art show, yet you barely see the art. You mention artists by name but don't show their piece so I have no idea which painting you're talking about half the time, and when people win or get chopped it's imperative to actually show the art! That's the basics of story telling and show production, surely?!

"Dalia Milan, winner of the season one"? I think that is just a little wrong, sorry. Previous winner has the same name as creators of this show?🤔 This show is great, but it would be better if everytime there would be two different judges, who are not someone the judges know so well already. And if we could see more of the artwork. I think this is a good show💖 But it would benefit more objective opinions and to tell more clearly what's coming next. This was just the "redemption" challenge - giving all of those who had lost and were "out of the competition" one last chance to "redeem themself" and win one last spot among the top three final contestants. The next episode I presume will be the finale where the winner of this round will join the two remaining from the previous episode and one of these will be declared "The Outstanding Artist."
@smiley_crafts11 ай бұрын
Very frustrating! It’s all about the art, yet they don’t even stop to focus on each painting so viewers can see that on which the judges based their decision! Just a lot of self reflection babbling and nothing to reward the artists in the viewing audience. Poorly produced - a competition on a visual art without giving the audience a good visual of the final products. 😕
