Sam i understand the motivation that Philip has. The combination of elements to enhance everything in a linear path, but also related to speed and throttle is brilliant. 265 tires are the key

I agree, I would probably even gone with 17" and 255 to get rotating mass even lighter and a higher profile even adds som more drivability and feel for the car. You can always make narrower tires look wider by stretching it onto a wider rim if that's your goal. But the current setup looks does very right. Very wide tires don't always yield any driving feel advantages, on the contrary it can detract severely from the driving pleasure due to weight and chafing, and I don't mean chafing on the wheel arches, but on the road due to extreme toe or camber changes with an non-compliant spring/shock combo.
