Great question!(Usually when someone starts the answer with that it means they have no clue. I HAVE NO CLUE. LOL). The housing market, especially in major cities, has seen significant price increases in recent years. While predicting exact future trends is challenging due to various economic factors, some experts believe prices could stabilize or even decrease slightly if interest rates rise or if there's an increase in housing supply. However, in high-demand urban areas, it's also possible that prices will continue to grow, albeit at a slower pace. It's important for first-time buyers to consider various factors, including local market conditions, long-term financial goals, and personal circumstances. Then there's this. Most people when they think the market is going to go down, doesn't factor the going up portion. In your question of will it go down in 5 years, what about going up in the next 5 years? If that happens and then say it did go down after that by 10% or maybe more, wouldn't you be in the same boat if you bought right now? Time in the market is better than timing the market.

The median priced house in the USA today is at least double the price that the median income individual working American can afford on any semblance of a responsible budget. This should end well...

@@MacRogersrealestatebroker Most working Americans not in a solid 2+ income household are irrevocably screwed at this point. It's been a problem that has been developing for the last 40-50 years & it has destroyed the social & economic fabric of this nation over that time. I don't see much of a future for this country at all if the same patterns of the last 40-50 years persist as they have. But, that's what happens when you have a sell-out political duopoly that has rigged the system & only cares about enriching themselves & the predatory big-money interests that fund them. And, voters never seem to wise up.
