Egyptian drawings are actually pretty cool because it depicts 2 angles in viewing someone. The profile view (looking at someones face from the side) then the front view(loooking at someone face to face). The head is usually seen in profile while the body is seen in a forward manor. I cant fully remember what was said about it in my art history class. But it was their way of translating something 3d onto a 2d surface. I also imagine it helps people know what gods they are looking at as well. Cause they do have 3d sculptures and those i find, since you can walk around them, their angles (head and body) are the same, facing forward. Cause their sculptures arent contorted like how we view their hieroglyphs. So the funny "walk" is just their way of showing a 3d person on a 2d surface. If that makes sense
