This is probably one of my greatest builds.
The perfect build for casual but also advanced players who have tough time to dodge fatal apocalypse hits.

Indeed, deceit is probably my favorite dps gun and to use it on glass cannon builds is brutal, if you miscalculate your timing you get oneshot. With this build you are safe to do the combo like a boss.

Been using this build for around 3-4 hours now helping me on my first apocalypse world and wow… just wow, i HIGHLY recommend you use this build, I honestly felt like I was playing easy mode and the ONLY problem you will have is built in 1 shot attacks which no matter what build your using your obviously not safe there, the mix of insane survivability and crazy damage makes this build a legit cheat code, I haven’t used it in co op so idk how it performs there but I don’t see why it wouldn’t still be S+ tier in co op I just personally prefer a certain healer build to keep everyone alive and revives done instantly

Absolutely love this idea and keep up the builds! 1 flaw I found though was that stone skin removes bleed for the duration. This removes the damage buff and eventually bulwark will fall off.

I don’t know man, I tested this and I think Joshua is right. When you pop stone skin you do get the max DR, but your damage boost will drop from 50% to 25%, meaning you can’t have the good damage reduction AND the DPS at the same time. Bummer.

Dude, I hated the Deceit gun before this build. Now, I can take multiple hits and do great damage. It is now my favorite gun in the game. It takes out standard mobs in one shot on apocalypse. Just wish it had more ammo, but that's not your fault haha. Thanks for the build!

You should replace the Leto mk1 helm with the knotted helm then run whispering marble and dried clay ring and finally drink mudtooth tonic, dark cider, bark extract, and meat shake you end up with more damage and 76.2% damage reduction and a extra ring slot

Wishpering marble plus dried clay ring gives you 25.2% dmg bonus and 22% dmg reduction. Neck-bone necklace plus atonement fold plus hardcore metal band gives you a flat 25% dmg bonus and 25% dmg reduction. Replacing Leto 2 helm with knotted helm and then replacing strong drink with meat shake will give you 76% dmg reduction without abilities or consumables. Also this setup gives you an extra ring slot so you can put on Ring of Flawed beauty, or Akari war band, or probability cord which would definitely give you more dmg. But I did go to the firing range and I’m hitting 4k a shot with 76% damage reduction

Used the same resolution to use stoneskin since stoneskin removes the bleed which drops dmg and defence when bulwark falls off. The stagger resist is real nice.

I got a question. Does DR increase or decrease the effectivness of a shield? I thought shields are a quick set-amount of protection that absorbs damage instead of reducing it.

If you have 80% total DR your shield is stronger, as if it takes more damage to break it, similar your health pool. But if you don't have DR it will break with 1 hit. Shield effectiveness has nothing to do with DR. Shield effectiveness means that if you have extra 20% Shield effectiveness, a shield that would give you 100 shield hp would now give you 120 shield hp. If that hp is harder to lower or not is the part of total DR.

Several questions bothered me after finishing this video. The first is that I don't completely see stone mist as a good skill to use. It makes you immune to status damage so you won't take damage from the bleed ring and that could potentially make you lose all your layers of Fortify, this happened at 2:19. The second is that, in terms of amulet choice, would the Butcher's Fetish or Nightwearver's Grudge be some better choices to consider?

Yeah the elixir of life might be better, and the amulets are personal choices all work but you have to test which one suits your playstyle better

What other melee weapon would be good for this build? Getting Worlds Edge just isn't an option anytime soon for me. If the melee weapon is really only for the proc of Deceits Mod, then would something like the Krell axe work just as well?

I’m pretty sure the best choice that isn’t the worlds edge is probably the stone breaker or any weapons with a really fast charged attack

I'm just thinking of Melee weapons that have a long ranged throw or attack and I'm currently (and have been since the very beginning) using the Krell axe. That's the only reason to use Worlds Edge for this build right? Or am I missing something else?

For melee use Krell Axe or spear as a replacement. Unfortunately no other handgun gives similar buff to corrupted rune pistol, so i guess run your favorite handgun.

It would not make any crazy difference, I think it would approximately give you 2 or 3 on the total damage reduction Stat.

If Zanias malice is 10% for just weakspot damage and dried clay ring is 60% for all damage, why use zanias over clay ring?

Dried clay ring does not add 60% damage. It adds 60 percent of the equipment DR added by bulwark stacks. Meaning at 5 stacks of bulwark, which is 25% DR, clay ring adds the equivalent of 60% of that, which is 15% overall damage. Zanias adds 30 percent to weakspots at max stacks, and when you're using deceit which makes weakspots for itself, zanias is the right choice. I do like dried clay ring more though for damage, unless there is just a HUGE really easy to hit weakspot. But overall, Dried clay ring adding 15 percent overall damage to, weak spots, mod damage, crit damage, elemental damage, summon damage, etc. I think it's more useful than zanias in a majority of the game, with the exception of some boss fights. Most people just go to the gun range and hit a weak spot, and just say to themselves "OoO dAmAge". And then go into a real game scenario and rarely hit a weakspot. Dried clay ring is a great dps ring, essentially burden of the destroyer without the range loss.

U have to build around bulwark stacks for the clay ring to be viable. It's only 60% of total deduction from bulwark. Not just straight 60% increase. So I have to have a build around that to get all the damage output.

Appreciate that you like my builds! I cant limit the true potential of the builds guys. I am making content for both high end players and not. By now i hope at least 60% of the players should have apocalypse done. If not you can use another ranged melee like Krel Axe or the Spear. Sometimes you gotta be creative. @@ChaosGaming1111 I am also trying to complete apoc so i can get the worlds end sword. I think the amount of people who have complete apoc are in the 10% range. Apoc is not really doable for most casual players which is most players. I will try to use hero's sword for world's end. Don't know if that will work but it is easier than the spear or axe to hit moving targets. Seems like the making of a good build though.
