Dougo your 100% correct nothing better than the smell of a fresh rain!!

Doug said no one appreciates rain more than a farmer which is probably true, except when you’re on wildland fires. Rain is a god send! It saves properties and resources. I’m glad you guys got some rain!

So awesome that you clean up the roads. Around here(west Michigan) farmers just leave all the debris/dirt/mud on the roads and let Mother Nature clean it off.

I am not a farmer but I live in an agricultural community. I love the fact that your operation cleans the roads if you get mud on them. I understand that it can be a pain in the butt to have to do it, but as someone who has almost wrecked their car after hitting some mud in the dark during harvest, THANK YOU!!!!!

I as a retired U. K. farmer of 80 and retired 27 years ago the most exciting thing to happen is a good rain when you’re desperate and you think it will never rain again , the smell , the sound , walking round in it in the middle of the night, soaked to the skin . In 1977 desperate for moisture, the rain woke me up at 3.00 am I got up got in the car and drove around all the roads round the farm and more for 2 hours , fantastic feeling .🤪

Unusually we've had a mini-drought here in Southern NJ. No appreciable rain this fall, the crops look good but the fields and woods are so dry were in a fire emergency; no burning, campfires, even firepits and there's roadside signs warning of fire conditions. The tree leaves fell fast and are extra-crispy.

Cleaning off the highway is a good thing. And so I think very important for Farmers to be good neighbors because they are so few of us feeding the rest of the world.
@leddielive2 ай бұрын
I too have similar memories of the much needed rain in 1977 as I'm sure many here will recall the very hot drought ridden Summer of 1976. The authorities were aggressively pursuing those breaking the longest hosepipe ban ever recorded.🤠

The farmers don't do it around here.
@rustynail22052 ай бұрын
@@snakeman48 not many around here do it either. We always cleaned up when we hauled our cattle manure. I never liked driving on what fell off the spreader or dump wagon, first cause of what it was and secondly because we could have been held liable. Never hurts to be tidy as well as a good neighbor.

Thanks for the video Chet and all of the Larson crew. It was most interesting and enjoyable to watch. Glad that Kibble Sam was able to get you the new demo combine with all of the upgrades. Guess it is like an X9 but is one level below the actual x9. So far from what you have said, it is a real nice piece of equipment. Looking forward to hearing more from you on the this combine. Your Air Force One is coming off lease. Will be interesting to see what you decide to do, lease again or purchase another one. Some hard decisions to make. New ones are so expensive. Wow. Know you are not happy with yields in this field but still they are not terrible terrible. Overall you are at least acceptable. Like the way Dougo cleans up the roads after a rain and mud on the roads. You are to be complimented for doing that. Thanks Dougo. About it I guess. Thanks for everything. You all take care. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
