Dougo, a bit late for this year, but if you go into the settings on the dryer master, under the discharge rate you can set a max discharge rate and it will keep you at or below that rate. Saved my butt a few times this year in Ontario

But their are them exceptionally great years where I say holy cow I can pay this off an go buy that 😀😀😀 you all did great been a up and down year for all but we always got NEXT year to look forward to too.. 31.5 acres to rip an it’s stuck in a 10x14 room for like ever 🤦♂️

I would have loved to run a 8820. The last combine I ran was our JD. 55 square back, with 3 row wide corn head.( l’m talking 1970’s) I was a teenager.🌽🌽
@tallboy4911 сағат бұрын
We had a 7720 and it was fantastic. Not so much to break or go wrong and did the job just like all the new ones and was a whole lot less expensive.
@truthandfreedom88510 сағат бұрын
I grew up in the '70s and we had two John Deere 105 combines. We took off 2,000 acres per year with those two small combines but we didn't have any corn to combine. Started in July on the barley and In November we were combining sunflowers sometimes. 15 years ago I bought a John Deere 8820. I thought it was in heaven and then 7 years ago I bought a John Deere 9760. Hydro Flex head. I love that combine but I kept that 8820 around as a backup. I think it was 3 years ago was the last time I ran the 8820 and it's still fun to drive

Chet why do you leave unload augur out all the time on combine? I was always told thats a no no when not unloadeing. Putting untold stress on augur.
@6by6by612 сағат бұрын
Lol you think the stress on an empty unload auger is more than when it’s fully loaded while emptying the hopper… better yet you think JD is that poor at engineering that the auger is going to fail by being left extended… The real reason you were told that fairy tale was you weren’t trusted too not run the auger into a power pole or some other obstruction 😂
@gregjames507011 сағат бұрын
You think leaving it out is putting more stress wear and tear on it than folding it in and out a few hundred times a day?
@clearskiesranch136211 сағат бұрын
In 220 BPA+ corn the hopper is full every 4 minutes roughly. No point in folding it in
@plowboy770010 сағат бұрын
Some neighbors used to leave their augers out. Then one season they broke cylinders and one auger broke. They went to folding them in and cured that problem.
@joekeusch59959 сағат бұрын
