When the replacement players for the Washington Sentinels left the stadium that day, there was no ticker-tape parade. No endorsement deals over sneakers, soda pop, breakfast cereal, just a locker to be cleaned out and a ride home to catch. But what they didn't know was that their lives would be changed forever! So this movie inspired by the 1987 Redskins. As a result of a players strike, they were forced to play the final three games with replacement players. They won all three to qualify for the postseason, and the original players went on to win the Super Bowl. The team never mentioned the players or their contributions to the championship, even though they wouldn't have made the playoffs without them. That was until 2018 when pressure from the fans forced Washington to finally recognize the replacements on the team record and give them Super Bowl rings

The message of this movie has a greater range than only pro sports. Its about life itself. Any person can relate to this movie. Doubt, disapointment, underachieving, struggle, fear are feelings that all of us experienced at least once in life. This movie make us think that you can overcome any issues, problems or limitations that you might have and achieve sucess with the right mind set. This wicked little movie was not highly rated by critics because it combined a lot of cliches. But it was engaging and funny and sweet. And, now and then, extremely profound. For example, the "quicksand" speech. And it showed a story about how shared strife establishes bonds between men who faced adversity together. A story of redemption, a story of building character, a story of finding the best in people. What's not to like? (And of course, the really friendly cheerleaders and the butt-slap is a hoot all by itself.)

This movie to me is real Americana and the real American spirit and life a bunch of rejects from all over the world who one time can together and one time created and lived the greatest nation and moment in history since time began. In my heart I wish we could all see and feel it that way because no nation is permanent or perfect and history is a witness to this but like Falco said it's been a pleasure to serve in the field of battle called life and history. When our time comes regardless of it's today or a thousand years from now may history remember us like this movie and inspire the future world or worlds.

That's very true, a winning QB (bringing a team to make the playoffs) would be swept right away. But it may take this exact team for Falco to excel, where everyone has each other's back. In some NFL teams, there are diva WRs to deal with, and coach has to make sure the O-line would not abandon him.
@hagamapama5 жыл бұрын
Teams would try, but the union would throw a fit. Remember, from the PA's perspective, Falco's not a player, he's a scab, and a lot of NFLPA players would put a few choice epithets before the word "scab."
