This game will always stay an enigma. After a lot of trial and error I managed to finish it, but it felt so strange, so forlorn, so incomplete. Like, the basic idea was great, but the game itself was done so halfassed and the engine/mechanics were super fidgy. If you knew what you had to do you could finish the game in about 15min, maybe even ... and that just took you so long, because you move so strange and floaty. Half of the castle is just there to explore, if you feel like it, but besides the treasures there is no payoff, not even some interesting room design or architecture/background as a smallish reward. Just google the games map to see how frigging small it is. Well, at this point, I might be overanalyzing a 25 years old game, but I spend a good chunk of my youth playing this game on long trips in the car, so there is that ^^

the game seems to be from 1990 so it is now 31 years old, at least since the basic concept the idea isn't bad though, a blob that can morph into anything to help you, but the execution, damn that shit is indeed halfassed was another time though, i mean people that knowingly bought that game, who were like ten are now in their late 30s at the youngest, probably most are in their early to late 40s now, and have children that are older than they were when they bought it

Well that was a nostalgic blast! I love the music still. 8 year old me rescued the princess but didn’t collect the treasures... I guess it doesn’t make a difference 0.0 36 year old me is perplexed as to why they included treasures... still, loved the play through.

When you escape the first room, turn him into a rocket. If you sit on him he immediately shoots through the screen and rescues Princess Blobette by flying through a brick tower, killing you instantly. Game over.

i remember playing this hellish game, never got anywhere with it, and given the way this tutorial goes it is no wonder, this game is six years older than I am and I played it when i was like five my sisters never figured it out either, so yeah it was clearly not just me

I really struggled with this game as a kid and there was much regret that I even bought it (not sure what made me buy it, I guess the box was tempting). Now I see that the trampoline jumps, once very high, can also be lowered again. :^/ And the fired can be instinguished with a jelly bean and mint even freezes the hot water? Wow...
