Honestly when you cut out the RE2/3 bits while mixing in what happened during Outbreak #1 briefly, it has some more background cohesiveness on how the city was mostly without power, why there wasn't as much bioweapons to what could be a big reveal to Umbrella and that it wasn't just some in person experiences and scattered evidence on hand from just 2 mainline games that more or less made it their end.

i love how raccoon city was just a mess during the outbreak that groups just used it as a military playground, just sending squads without any planning whatsoever

They could've sent a single UAV, helicopter, fighter, surveillance aircraft and immediately find out what happened. I get it's for the sake of the game but if we're being honest the premise isn't all that logical

@@pepebeezon772 I think it's supposed to be implied that Umbrella uses their connections within the government to declare a no-fly zone to keep eyes in the sky out of the picture while they clean house. Even if it's not canon, it's an easy plothole-fix that can be implied that doesn't feel impossible given Umbrella's level of influence. They might not be able to hush it up if the government saw, but they could try to keep the government from seeing by wielding their agents from within.

It shows just another angle on our beloved Racoon City. Thats what keeps me hooked. Every Resident Evil is different. Capcom always tries to come up with something different so to not get stale. I played RE: ORC almost religiously, actually. Despite it's MANY shortcomings (one in particular in regards to aesthetics: character models (especially Jill) leave much to be desired), I still had fun with it, but it should be said that I had friends to play with and I was content with embracing the closest to an Resident Evil 2 REmake we had at the time. I still REgard RE: ORC as an enjoyable RE game: It's essentially a polished turd.

Don't mind those "canon cops", you've already made it crystal clear Untold Legends is not about the official canon by the makers but "what if we combine all sources and make it more interesting and logical", and that's what I liked in your previous Castlevania and on-going Mega Man timelines. Also, I think my teenage favorites I had already requested some time ago, Power Rangers and Michael Bay's Transformers, would still be good subjects; so keep going man! 😉

i know that Operation Raccoon City its not canon but i still love it, i like the idea that the story of other side of the Raccoon City incident and its my childhood dream to play as HUNK or any USS Soldier..... i was still hoping for redo the Umbrella Corp, instead of a Multiplayer Shooter they need to make it a Story Campaign mode and they need do the elements from Tom Clancy Division or Ghost Recon Wildlands or Breakpoint for Tactical style gameplay with a mix of horror and survivor

Umbrella Corp would've been a great opportunity to explore the bio weapons black market side of Resident Evil. Instead it was a mindless competitive shooter with no real story.
