The Restoration Initiative - Sustainable Forest Management for conservation

Tanzania has lost at least one third of its important ecosystems and biodiversity in the past few decades.
The country's forest cover has declined by almost 38% where as 18% of the country's mangrove forest was lost between 1980 and 2005.
The Restoration Initiative (TRI) project is designed to address land degradation, biodiversity loss and improve rural livelihoods through sustainable forest management.
