This is why I keep my sketchbooks, I look back at my anatomy mistakes and inspires me to improve, and it helps me get over my art block. The point is that no artist is perfect and we need to except that we ain’t Picasso, no one walks out of the womb being the best artist ever known, and it’s important to critique ourselves or take other people’s criticism and push it towards a positive light.

I love finding my old art now. Used to HATE it. Would either hide or straight up get rid of art I disliked from back then, but now? It's so much fun. Realizing through the different phases of my art what inspirations stuck and which I grew out of, talking to friends I made on my cringy Deviantart RP account (I'm still really close with a few of them), and looking back on how batshit we were as tweens/teens (and how much MORE batshit the adults in our group were). And of course, roasting the way we all thought we were the next Da Vinci back then when we were tweens/teens who learned from those awful books about drawing cartoons/anime.
